  • Cool!

  • I cannot read TAB.

  • I wanted to learn how to play the guitar but never mind. Looks too hard.

  • @bptaylor11 It's not for beginners... "-)

  • @HenfieldWill My son plays in a band and I have always been interested in learning but my eyes instantly glazed over when I watched this. Guess I just don't have what it takes to play the guitar.

  • @bptaylor11 I'm sure you do have what it takes - but everybody learns in different ways and what suits some doesn't suit others... Many people have said how much they've got from my mixture of live action and chord diagrams - and others haven't. C'est la vie! :-)

  • @HenfieldWill I might give it a shot. My son can play just about any instrument there is but he got none of that from his old Dad, unfortunately. I am open to any recommendations. :)

  • LOL LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi Great video and teaching very instructive for for those of us who are not naturally wired musically. Thanks for taking the time to put out all the teaching on youtube and on your website.

  • I teach and have a music degree. This program does not follow any convention. Why go to all this length. The diagram is upside down and back to front. I hate the program method - it doesn't give a way of fretting fingers. Just use the real playing instead IMHO. Nice boogie!

  • Lol you said boogie...

  • A thousend times better on the piano!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @JazzPianoChannel Very likely - but the video is for guitarists... not pianists...

  • @HenfieldWill

    YES???????

  • What software are you using to display the onscreen tab? I'd like to post some video lessons but I can't find a program to write out my tab, or a program where I can display the tab on the screen. Any input would be great. Awesome tutoral!

  • @randyrhoads64050 I write music and tab using Harmony Assistant, but the screen diagrams are created with Adobe Photoshop. :-)

  • Loves your lessons Will! Many times they fit to my level so they're very useful to me.

  • @Aristotelezz Thank you. I'm very glad you find them useful - that's my hope! :-)

  • What about the right hand? I would like to see the rithm and technique.

  • i love to boogie!

  • not easy and confusing sorry

  • I like the way you used the fret board diagram and then finishing with normal speed. Pretty easy stuff for me, I just like the way you put this video together. I like the fret board diagram. Thank you

  • 3:40 ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP etc etc :P

  • *hi, I will fly* ... wtf?!

  • @Bartnet1991 Use your ears. I'm just saying "I'm Will Fly" - my name. Got it?

  • @HenfieldWill

yes, I know, but I will fly sounds funny ;D

  • @HenfieldWill its not a funny name its a good name : ) ignore these idiot making fun of u

  • @HenfieldWill Yeah but it sounds like " hi, i will fly "

    ahaha

  • @Bartnet1991 ROFL

  • @Bartnet1991 lmao lol

  • @Bartnet1991 LOL

  • where can i download this lesson its awesome

  • @joshuarmwater It's available on a DVD called "Flying High". Go to my channel page, which will give you the URL of my website - you can then find the relevant info on the "DVDs" link in the menu bar. :-)

  • hello, I will fly :D

  • I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON

  • Download the tab from my website and play it slowly - bar by bar. It will start to make sense. :-)

  • Thanks, I've been playing for a month now. About 3 hours a day, although I took piano 30 years ago for a few years, your lessons are great thanks so much!! from northern Ontario Canada!

  • i am sad

  • "hi, i will fly" lol

  • Great site. What I really like about this guy is that he explains things so clearly and his videos are so easy to follow and clear. This is exactly what starting guitarists need.

PS love the way he pronounces 'boogie' as well!

  • Yup - "boogie" sounds different over here in the UK... :-)

  • yeah it' a real good tutorial for who's startin to play guitar!

  • Yeah nice but doen't move enough for a boogie...

  • Big help !! thank you.!!

  • nice!!! its easy to learn!

  • I will fly away!

  • Hey, I didn't mean to belittle the song, it was GREAT too!! Smoooothe pickin'

    Thanks for the lesson!!!!!!!

  • Man, that was just toooo cool! The song was ok, but watching that guitar neck was great!!

  • Very good! Thank for posting this helpful video :)

  • He he nice one mate

  • Eureka moment. Wow. Thank you so much.

  • I use Adobe Photoshop to create the chord diagrams. :-) Will

  • "Hi, i'm will fly"

    heh

    your name rocks

  • Will Fly? What a great name.

  • lol what name is this???

  • Just a boogie in the key of G - no particular tune - really more of a riff... :-)

  • good job

you do play it diffrent then the computer guitar

  • Yup - it's never entirely the same - the guitar diagrams are very stiff and formal - the live performance tends to be a bit more relaxed about it! :-)

  • Great stuff. Many thanks Will. Tried to find the tab at the website you mention on the vid but only a pic of you there? Is it somewhere else?

  • Probably a spelling error on the video! The correct URL is in the "More info" link, top right on this page. :-)

  • Thanks Will - Found it now. Brilliant tabs as well as video.

  • awesome !!!

  • how long did this take to make?! DEDICATION 5 STARS!! haha

  • you rock!

  • can u make a vid like this for cocain blues by dylan

  • Haven't heard Dylan's thing in many, many years. I'll try and get a listen to it and see what I can do. Will.

  • hi i'm will fly .. lol!

  • eee it goes to fast and my fingers ornt long enough!

  • i realy dont get it

  • What's the problem?

  • Aye, Will Fly

    Thank you

  • The first parts I didn't understand what it would sound like, but at the end when it was played at nornal speed...that was so cool!Nice work.Could listen to that at normal speed over& over.

  • Thanks for sharing this.

Although I´m afraid my guitar will keep gathering dust as usual...

  • I'm trying to learn boogie style too but man that diagram is hard to follow for a lefty. Usually I can figure out "vertical" diagrams. I don't know if you noticed the T and numbers are also hard to make out at low resolution.

  • Understood! One problem is that some instructionsal stuff I do goes up to the 7th fret - hence the need for a horizontal, rather than a vertical fretboard. And I'm aware of the low-res on YouTube - it all looks better full screen. I'm planning a 3rd DVD which will include the latest how-to-play videos. :-) Will

  • Great job Will - as always. By the way, how are you Mate. Big hug from your friend Viv

  • Hi Viv - I'm fine, thanks.Busy as ever! Hope you're OK. :-) Will

  • Hi

I responsed my vid. It´s not that difficult but it´s my first song on youtube.

Your lessons are very good. I will subscribe you.

    cu

  • Thanks for this new instruction video. This method is so nice for a player like me. And even then I find it hard to get the same sound as you produce. I will study. Please produce more of these.

  • Whooo Hoooo! Will, this is the first one I have actually been able to play along with and get on the first take Bro! I mean I didn't get it all quite up to speed yet but I can actually do this one Bro! I don't know if you are getting easier or I am getting better but either way it's very cool! Thanks man, another great video, you are truly a very generous musician my friend...

    BSR

  • I'm quite certain you're getting better! From one teacher to another... :-) Will
