eating our souls was evil but holding the show hostage...now that's wicked. O cthulu, you are corprate evil now, the worst kind of evil. Hail the dark lord
I'd like to help - not only with the kickstart funding but also with other creative ways to get the word out and help monetize things (nt just the cthulhu project, but your other writing). Please pm me- let's brainstorm!
A few dollars are a small price to pay to support our great Lord Cthulhu and all the wisdom and laughs he has brought us. I will gladly submit my immortal so- I mean some of my humble dollars to great Cthulhu.:-)
And I am in no way affiliated with blip.tv. There's also DailyMotion, Qik, Revver, Imeem, and so forth. I'm just a fan that has been dying for new Calls For Cthulhu for some time now, but also doesn't want to see the show surviving on charity either. It can be self-sustaining if you have the right service, and put the effort in for the exposure. Also, if you do starting using the ad-revenue sharing sites, consider uploading each of your old episodes once a month to build momentum for new eps.
Brand, consider uploading your vids on services that pay you per number of views such as blip.tv . It has been a very effective way for internet series producers to monetize their efforts for some time now. Relying on YouTube is not good unless you're a high traffic partner like RayWilliamJohnson or freddiew. A couple of hugely successful examples of blip.tv users include ThatGuyWiththeGlasses and The Spoony Experiment. YT could be where you upload trailers that direct to your blip vids. :)
It would also be nice if you could include photographs on the page of what the prizes look like, what exactly is contained on the DVD, what the plushes' are made of, etc.
@Zellig For more information on the plushies, DVDs etc. You can go to CallsForCthulhu . com, and click on the "Store" link. There you will see the plushies mentioned and the DVDs.
Couple of questions about the donations: do we need to cover shipping charges? If we donate 60 bucks can you use a pseudonym instead of our real name? Thanks.
@Zellig For orders within the United States, no shipping charges need to be considered. As far as a pseudonym goes, I'll be glad to post any name that wouldn't get me in trouble with the FCC. :)
For just the cost of a cup of coffee, you could feed these starving children...
TO ME.
