i can answer that for you, she probably doesnt know the answer. she grew up in america odds were that she would grow up to be a christian if she grew up in india she would be a hindu if she grew up in afghanistan she would be a muslim. thats just how religion works, and one of the many clues that religion, is sliiightly fake
I think what she said is funny. She doesn't get involved with atheists simply because the idea of god not existing "doesn't make any sense" to her and she "cannot wrap her mind around it" because she has always believed in "something out there"? Then that video is very aptly titled. It's hard for ANYONE to convince someone who is stupid and unwilling to talk to an individual who holds a different viewpoint (on anything) that they could possibly be wrong.
It doesn't matter what god she believes in and what attributes he/she has. It is not fruitful to allow someone to create a delusion in his mind and then ask him about the form of that delusion. That is a job for Theologians and a battle you never can win, believe does not need any prove. What god(s) she has created is beside the point it is the creation in the first place that should be criticized.
Not only do they have to justify their beliefs, but they have to justify their choice of beliefs, against others who chose different gods, and the skeptics who are still waiting for validation of their claims.
Atheists on the other hand get to pretty much sit back and chill until someone presents a valid claim.
Actually every other religion is about the exact same thing, though yes some religions do not have the whole relationship thing however there are a number of religions that do.
Unfortunately, my (mis)conception of God as a child prompted my prayers that God would kill my father, thus saving our household. I grew up to become an atheist later. I had no idea that God is love until I ASKED Him.
If anyone truly wants to know if God is real, and if He indeed cares, "ask the universe." God is truly unknowable completely, so through the years He'll bring us to Truth. Our part: be open to the answer (it was sure hard for me!).

No, you need to ask yourself why you believe what you believe and realize that you have been duped.

@theageofgrace that is true for theists as well

Theists definitely have a rough job.
Not only do they have to justify their beliefs, but they have to justify their choice of beliefs, against others who chose different gods, and the skeptics who are still waiting for validation of their claims.

"I Think therefore I am" you might want to learn how the philosopher came to that conclusion Mr. hellavadeal.

religion is mans attempt to find or appese a god , Christianity is God Finding man and having a relationship with us. Big differance.

@hellavadeal "Big differance" perhaps, but neither is based on or in reality.

He has proven Himself to me too many times.
