I have a reasonable expectation as a public high school football player to not have to have an ethos of a religious nature imposed on me, or assumed about me, by my membership on that football team.
The religious banner proposes to speak for the team and the school by extension.
lol. You'd think that some religious people would think that quoting something from the bible and then literally tearing it to shreds would be a little blasphemous as it is.
You may mock God today thinking He isn't aware, but one day God Almighty will straighten all this out: Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
How could someone with such a failure of a brain hold a public office? It doesn't matter that no one is forced to go, the law is the law. No one is forced to murder or attend a donkey show, but just because you don't partake doesn't mean it's legal for others to do it because they like it. Typical moron.
@ccheng21 its not up to him to stop it he didnt start it ,( WE AS HUMANS DID ) ever hear of free will he gave us that to make our own minds up & solve our problems that we have created our selfs,if he came & rescued us all the time we would never learn to stand on our own, would we? ( SO DONT BLAME GOD THIS IS ALL ON US )
The problem with the Mayors comments suggest he believes that all of the cheerleaders and all of the football players support this practice. If a student disagreed would they be able to speak out without being ridiculed?
As we all know, to speak out against a religious position usually results in a quick backlash by fundamentalist. Students and faculty at this school should be able to attend events without religious coercion.
If the cheer leeders were promoting the KKK you'd just say 'WELL YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ THE BANNERS OR COME TO THE GAME HUURR DURR' Stupid.

What would this coach say if the person in charge of making the signs used verses from the Qur'an?

Rob Boston is religious man. His religion is called Polytheistic Evolutionary Pantheism.
His tirades against the Bible are religious statements. Why should Rob be free to practice his religion, and not everyone else too?

God can't stop the genocide in Darfur or end world hunger but he sure can help with a football game. Someone needs to set their priorities straight
