  • Kick-ass!

  • This is a gymnastics move right cuz my friend said its not

  • This is so Cool!!! :D

  • how did he not break that fuckin TV

  • There is absolutely no reason for anyone to hate over someone doing airflares. I swear people will find any reason to bitch.

  • Half the people dissing can't do an airfare like Morgan anyways.

  • i like that new inspirate

  • i m bboy wou good tecnic and good moves

    bboys stop fanboys stufs

  • bboys cant compete in gymnast level.. bboys always say gymnast have no style in there moves.. but thats only because theres only 1 way to do it.. and that is PERFECT!! gymnast are perfectionist.

  • @B18bVtec dude, of course in gymnastics you have to look very clean and perfect, but you can't be ignorant enough to say bboys aren't perfect, Search up on youtube, bboy nazim clean and perfect. his power is actually cleaner than morgan ham

  • @B18bVtec no style and no inviduality in gymnastics. a bboy can have his own unique style in his moves and develop this style to perfection. and then its gona be his own perfected style and not sth he copied. i train once a week with gymnasts (university team) and twice a week with bboys (in the "hood"). the average bboy is on a much higher level than the average gymnast (who keeps on doing the same boring crap for over 10 yrs without evolving at all)

  • RESPECT.

  • Gymnist waste BBoys .... Get over it!

  • @thetaxiucla read top comment big boi

  • what was the first song.....it's on the tip of my tongue and killing me!!!! i'm so jealous hamm makes it look so easy....

  • Cico could probably be an olympic gymnast =P

  • @Aspect2010 You're joking right?

  • @superjab24 No i'm not.

  • dude watch bboys dot it, try and start it like bboys do. I think you will get more momentum and it would be easier

  • I'm a bboy. This guy is dope. He's adding more variety to floor routines. And come on, the air flare was going to weave its way into gymnastics anyway; it's such a beautiful move.

  • now it is time to do from a windmill to airflare. from ground to air is harder. but i know u can do it. i like how your airflare looks. after that step is complete, try one hand airflare.

  • LOL BTW you dont need gymnasium to have a body like paul hamm or morgan they both said they never even had gone into gymnasium to build up their body, they have huge body though....Rings and parellel bars

  • bboys did not bite anything from gymnists and gymnasts did not bite this from bboys, bboys aknowledged the fact that mojority of their powermoves were inspired by gymnastics, kung fu, acrobatics, various other dance styles, etc...they didn't claim it all for themselves...bboys just took something formal and innovated it, they took those moves and applied it to music and got even more creative by adding footwork and freezes, what bboys n gymnasts do are equally amazing to me...

  • bboy punisher is mad now....

  • this guy goes bboy... pwned

  • lol all the comments below this are paragraphs

  • Morgan, your moves are incredible! You definitely perfected your airflares, which I can see took time. The bit where you show off your gymnastic abilities at 1:40 totally blew me away, that's something that I don't think many (if any, besides you of course) breakdancers can claim to know how to do! The thing that really got me though was the complete split. I stretch every day and I'm doing my best to get there. Your video was a huge inspiration. Much respect!

  • another thing u have to consider. as a pro gymnast there is much more he has to practice and master. so i dont think he was just practicing this all the time...but yeah as a gymnast u have good basics to learn it in a short time

  • LOL HUGE Upper body but small quads and calves///

  • fresh

  • those are spindled czeching flares not king flares most bboy king flares do not go in various directions but are stationary

  • 1st of all. i'm surprise u didnt hit any furniture in ur house while doing those moves xD

2nd, gymnast usually get moves like flares and air flares alot faster due to their flexibility. U can alot of momentum from doing powermoves with more flexibility. ...

  • fuck you Morgan - powermoves will always belong to bboys

  • @KrzysioFisiol LOL! Maybe get a bboy up on the rings and see who has the power. I think Gymnasts can learn bboys moves but can bboys learn gymnasts moves? DOUBTFUL!

  • @GrissomLovesSara yeah sure, gymnasts can learn airflares and windmills but if can they do it on the fly to music in a battle? Sure they can Jack-Hammer but can they Jack-Hammer to the beat (bboy Taisuke), flare out into them, and finish with chair-flares (all the while syncing his transitions to the beat)?

bboys arent about power (or even powermoves) but how we interpret them to music. I'm sure there are bboys that can do some (not all) ring elements, but can also bboy at the best level too

  • @bboyheat10 I'm sure if you're claiming bboys are better than gymnasts and can do what gymnasts do then it's fair to say gymnasts could similarly learn to do their tricks to the beat. I'm sorry but nothing you say can make me believe a bboy is 'better' than a gymnast, some of whom train from the age of 2.

  • @GrissomLovesSara I dont think I EVER used the term 'better' in my response. You're thinking way too personal and onesided about 'whether or not a bboy or gymnast is better'. What I'm trying to say with my last comment was that they are trying to do different things. Gymnasts have this feeling that they are trying to do things very cleanly and very strength based (you cannot refute this if you saw the chinese dude doing rings the last olympics). I know that takes alot of strength to pull off

  • @GrissomLovesSara Bboying is a form of dance so being able to do power is purely optional and at the dancer's discretion. Some bboys have the perception of being powerful (bboy Junior, Physicx, Darkness) and that is part of their style, but that isnt the deciding factor when being a 'better' bboy.

Your the one saying "can bboys learn gymnast moves? DOUBTFUL!" bullshit on the wall. What makes you think gymnastics is 'harder' than bboying when they dont have anything relative enough to compare?

  • @bboyheat10 it wasn't me who started comparing but if we are comparing I simply thing Gymnastics is harder. That's all. My feelings are what they are. I think it was you up in arms watching gymnasts try to do flares

  • @GrissomLovesSara ok. Your right, I do watch gymnasts do flares because most bboys dont spam flares mid routine.

Again you missed my point that there is very little to compare between them... Harder at what? You think bboys dont train all day to become good at what they do or what?

I'll be convinced if a gynmast can do a sixstep properly without prior knowledge or practice and a bboy in equal physical strength couldnt do an iron cross on the rings on his first try.

  • @bboyheat10 maybe i don't care. i like gymnastics. it's been my fav sport for 4 decades. I don't really care about bboys I guess or what they can do.

  • @bboyheat10 Amen brother. Gymnasts are good but they do their thing and we do ours. Personally we're much more creative because we can adapt to more things unlike a gymnast. They can come up with new moves but its generally going to be widespread later on. BBOYING is so flexible that it branches out into new platforms. You make something up and call it your own. That's what it's all about. Being creative is what bboys do yeeeeeeee BBOY FOR LIFE. And no I'm not dissing or bagging on gymnasts lolz

  • @jeromethebuffgnome I've got respect for anyone who pushes the boundaries of human movement and therefore like your comment, but a quick point..

Gymnastics has been around since the Greek times, the name is Greek for "Naked Sport" - In the past 3000 years or so, gymnasts have created every basic move you now see. Whether a breakdancer morphs a basic move is another story, but look into the elite gymnastics moves and you will see style, creativity and difficulty which more than rivals bboys :)

  • @tgarci2 I think we can both agree on the amount of skill and efforts both gymnasts and bboys do. Or should I say breakdancer. But I thank you for your intelligent comment rather than calling me an idiot and start an internet fight hahaha. It was nice to be educated instead of being bashed on for my personal opinion yeeee

  • @jeromethebuffgnome Hahaha, agreed. It's all good as long as you're evolving whatever sport you pick up. When you watch an olympic level gymnast struggle with that skill for a long time it makes you appreciate the skill required to do such a skill

  • @tgarci2 Yeeee either way bboying and gymnastics is only going to evolve and both will keep influencing each other and the millions of people out there

  • @jeromethebuffgnome Apples and oranges. Aside from floor exercise, gymnasts have to be more well-rounded. All the different apparatus...high bar, pommel horse, parallel bars, rings...require a lot of variety and creativity as well as technical execution. I would say bboys have more leeway in creating their own style and combinations because there is no set criteria they have to perform. Gymnasts have to meet the required elements as well as add style and combinations.

  • @unclebraddah I agree with you there. Then the question comes in to where too much creativity might not even be considered bboying. But very true for gymnasts.

  • I love this vid, shows the hard practice, perspiration and determination they had to accomplish something that almost no one can do.

  • took him awhjile to learn them lol

  • lmao i cant believe he didnt hit anything at all while practicing in his living room haha

  • i can't believe he pulled off airflare to flare less than a year.. dope dope dope.

  • :)...wow

  • WHAT IS THE SONG AT 1:16?

    THANKS

  • that's not morgan...

  • i thought you say you dont need a gym to pratice

  • @hmobvaj2 these guys are not on the same level thats it. They are conditioned like a jazz dancer.. breakin is on the martial arts level now.. sorry gymnast but you should NOT use our moves in your sport NO

  • as long as he gives props to bboys im fine with this lol. pretty sick.

  • ok the FLARE that gymnasts do was made by thomas flair .. then bboys copied it... then bboys got inspired and made something new.. bboys made airflare ...then the gymnasts.. this guy.. used airflare *bboy move* in olympics..

    flares - made by gymnasts

airflares - made by bboys inspired by gymnasts.

  • @spritedblue flares DIDNT come from gymnists!!! they came from capoeira

  • @riclance huh? gymnast invented flares. learn your history dumbass. it was made by Thomas Flare . that's why they named the move after him.

  • SO who is THOMAS FLARE your boyfriend?

  • You are too young to know anything about this sport so SHUT UP

  • @riclance wtf ok? information has age limits now??? if your gonna talk back at me. say something that make sense instead of keeping my mouth shut.. you know your wrong fool..

  • @spritedblue YOU're the freaking one who doesn't know the god damn history you cluck. The guys name is KURT THOMAS not the faggy name you made up and he didn't invent flares DORK! Kurt brought the flares from the palma horse to the floor routine. He also opened his legs in scissors thats all. He is not the creater of them. Straight leg flares had been in gymnastics for many years you so no way Are you anyone for knowledge wrong on the history and the guys name.

  • @riclance anyway i dont mean nothing against you i liked your second part of what you wrote so

    peace out

  • @spritedblue btw, it's "flair," not "flare." A flare is something you put on the side of the road next to an accident.

  • @slightlyshattered sorry that's how i spell since i'm a bboy. a Flair are Gymnastics Flairs . Flare are breakdancing Flares or bboy Flares.

  • @spritedblue Being a bboy is no excuse to misspell an easy word. It was Kurt Thomas's "flair" he put on the basic circle, thus the name. It's not something to signal an airplane.

  • @slightlyshattered no dude. its not an excuse. bboy flairs are different from gymnast flairs.. the first time i saw it wa spelled "flare" .... bboys flares are usually higher and slower. gymnast flairs are really fast.. its crazy.

  • @spritedblue It maybe accepted as it is now, but how it started out was a simple misspelling.

  • @slightlyshattered haha i agree.. let's just be proud of him doing really really sick airflares..

  • @spritedblue Fair enough

  • you are cooLL ^^

  • he is an innovator in his disciple!

  • stupid gymnaticz

  • @devkid STOP DISSING. BBOYS WERE INSPIRED BY SOME GYMNASTIC MOVES AND NOW GYMNASTS LIKE MORGAN ARE BEING INSPIRED BY BBOYS. WE ALL BITE SOMEWAY SOMEHOW SOMEDAY AND THEN INNOVATE

  • when you can do what they can do ..then you can have an opinion..otherwise you just sound stupid...go fuck yourself.

  • @devkid why is it stupid??

  • I agree with you!

  • this is a very motivational airflare video.

im very motivated to get airflares now

  • 2 years is a way too much. Most powerheads learn it for couple of months. Some of them like Cico learned this move on the age of 13-14.

  • @stylefreaks depends who u r, not all can be the same, some power heads can naturally get it, some just cant, even as a pro -gymnist, morgan said to him self that it was difficult

  • That was inspirational, dude.

  • Dude fuckk.. It's great!! :)

  • nice werkz

  • I think you did a gr8 job !

    congratz. keep going!

    -peace

  • now he just has to do a one handed airflare. its been done before and with clean form. search for "Typhoon Real One handed Air Flare" and you will see it

  • pretty amazing

i wonder if the difficulty can be further improved, but it looks really almost 100% perfect

  • the difficulty can definitely be improved lol.

in breakdance, there's the same move called airflares, but there's also tons of variations. for instance, some bboys do airflares on their elbows, fists, or even with one hand, a variation only the most talented bboys can do.

  • thats why hes so good, cuz he practices all the time, like even in his living room

  • good =]

  • his airflares are so clean

  • I prefer form over repetition, I don't care if you can throw 10 more airflares or flares, if someone else's form is perfect like Hamm's his 2 or 3 will def get more props at least from me

  • This is awesome, it's funny too, because he coaches at the club I practice at.

  • Your really lucky congrats

  • I think the biggest thing was he was doing it at first without any momentum. Notice how he pretty much already had it when he did a flare first?

  • lmao this guy isnt a bboy but he sure would be freaking crazy if he was a bboy!!

  • Dayum! This is like the definition of perfect airflares and flares!

  • damn bro this guy is good i agree i would like to see him do the 1990's

  • ur sick!

  • Id Love To See Him Do 1990's In A Comp :D

  • Man, this dude is dope. Honestly, to try to bring a move entirely new to gymnastics into the olympics is a daring thing to do. And get off of Bruce Lee and KYS's jocks, they're DOPE powerheads, but for this guy only doing them for around 2 years in this vid, his form is AMAZINGLY clean. I mean, look at how he started learning them, from a split handstand? Half of us learned them from the usual power start, so don't act like you're owning this guy. And his kingflares rape.

  • stop hating on him just cause he's a gymnast. so what? he's just learning and do a freaking airflare. any other person doing that would get props man

  • i wonder how long its gonna take him to incorporate the one handed airflare...

  • damn see what practice does

  • this guy was in ninja warrior, and his brother, and they both got owned

  • Damn clean! Keep it up dude!

  • great stuff, but powermovers today can kill him anytime

  • learn chair 1990s

  • omg dat is so pro dang i never tought dat u can [prac airflares like dat haha nice training keep it up

  • Very cool, who is the name of the song,in the first part of the video?

  • Dang man... I didnt know world class athletes practiced at home like this. Really inspiring.

  • is Morgan Hamm the first gymnastic man in the world who does the airflare and also introduce it into an official competition??

  • took me about a year to get airflares but i breakdance also his are cleaner

  • And then they will challenge u to rings and see who is weaker and has smaller balls. HAH!

  • i just replied to some guy, nothing about those guys on the video

  • Very Clean

  • This is mad inspirational.

    Good stuff.

Just shows what practice can do.

  • Go back to school and learn how to spell and use correct grammar. Thanks!

  • wow.. he got it down in such a short period of time

  • try airflare into 1990 then into airflare

  • dude, your great, pretty inspiring if u ask me

  • yo thats mad motivational

  • It's great to watch an athlete like him in the developmental stages & to see the intense work & dedication required to make perfection look easy!

  • his airflares look pretty controlled

  • those were perfect...you can tell he's a gymnist because he keeps his legs so straight and not only that he always pointed his feet even when his upper body waznt holdin him right in the begining

  • i like gymnist sometimes cause they perfect it more. but yeah.

  • AWESOME!!

  • Lol I too bad he didn't do this at Ninja Warrior.

  • great man! kip it up! xp

  • hey morgan, is it easier for you because you are flexible, or how much do you stretch a day, any pointers for us your fans???

  • this ain't morgan by the way, just a fan aswell, but its easier for him to learn because he already has the strong upper body strength to learn it and its all about practice, check out their website, should be on the info

  • He should become a bboy lol

but this guy is a crazy gymnist

  • the end, blue, bruce lee, and blond will probably own him in powermoves. 5 one-elbow-handed- king-airflares by "the end" will crush anyone

  • no fence dude but ur comment is stupid, of course this guy will get smoked by those guys...this guy isn't even a bboy

  • And then Morgan can use his awesome upper body strength to actually crush them. They're two different sports, so what's your point? Or do you just intend to be ignorant?

  • Awesome!! pure awesome answer! im a bboy myself and i can tell everyone that i give him major props cause it is incredible how fast and how easily perfected he got them! and for the EBoys saying that bruce lee and the end etc. could smoke him thats totally stupid to say because he never said he was a bboy! and like

USGoingForGold said its two different things! Sport and Dance so get your facts straight

  • much props to you both

  • @gavnila this guy can barley do them properly-.-

  • I love the Christina Aguilera in the background

  • :'(

  • actually him and his twin bro had windmills during the 2004 olympics

  • If you started with your face looking to the wall, then you must finish your round, with your back looking to that wall. To make this, throw your landing hand behind your back, like you wanted to touch your another shoulder-blade with your elbow, and push from another hand, then you will spin around yourself like on Swipes, it's also a very important thing...Hope it helps

    Peace

  • Man I know it's a very hard element, but try to make 2 main things on this move. Kick your lower leg up, so high as you can, it gives you momentum and time to perform the jump, it's very, very important. The second thing: you must jump and spin from your pushing hand not in line, but farther deeper to the circle around yourself, like on Swipes.

  • any pointers on how to start to learn this? what is needed first and stuff like that.

    thanks in advance

  • i need help on my airflare

    watch?v=-trnngg3uDE

  • 25 yrs old, last year august

  • I've trained in the same gym as the Hamm brothers in the past and to see that Morgan has been inspired by a primarily bboy move is a HUGE credit to the hip hop culture. Bboys need to forget about who was the first to do what move and recognize the good that a WORLD FAMOUS GYMNAST has brought to bboying. You don't EVER see a bboy pointing his toes or keeping his legs straight or saluting the judge with an outstretched arm by the head to exploit gymnastics.

  • I think it's agreed Morgan isn't a bboy. I've been bboying for four years. I trained gymnastics for thirteen years and have a lot of sick freezes and combo power MOVES. I am very weak in footwork and my uprock is sketchy. I don't consider myself a true bboy yet or give any advice to bboys on style.

  • You need to learn about hiphop yourself. A dick with a single trick doesnt make them a bboy. like a dick with a handstand doesnt make them a gymnast.

  • wow he can do it from a handstand

    nicee

  • Great video. There seems to be absolutely no reason why this move is avoided in gymnastics. It has all the elements that are required from gymnasts: coordination, balance, airtime, good form. On the other hand, I'm a bboy so I don't really care :)

  • what?! are u fuking ignorant? MOST MOVES I MENTIONED..? ahahhahah u gotta be kidding.. yes ur right gymnastics created all the moves.. get a grip the only thing they created was Flares and Air Turtles THATS IT! not even backspins kid..

  • maannn....i don't get what all the fuss is all about but gymnastic and bboy powermoves are completely different but there are some bboys that has gymnastic flares look a like and plus why would gymnasts do backspin in an event, that's not even a gymnastic move...no offense but u have good flares (the back bit is kinda low) but i prefer this guys flares, it looks more consistent, and try to respect both gymnastics and bboying

  • Amen.

  • once you get airfalres u just wanna airflare fucking forever lol

  • hell yea

  • took you a long time to reply to just one comment. Rage? Smurf, Kmel, Casper, Legacy, Venum are all LA. Why do you keep bringing up just hand stands? Is that the best you can do? Gymnastics isnt bboying. You cant judge it with bboying guidelines and vise versa. You dont agree youre just one of those kids with orange tans/spiked hair? oompa loompa? You should google it and post it as your default on myspace. It fits perfectly. I never heard of Raw meat. I even youtubed it. Nothing special.

  • dawgs u think i dance to get known in the bboy world?! u kidding me?! ahahahah i love bboying and its my own pleasure on doing so i dont need any nigg telling me what to do or where to go or whom to battle why? true bboying its done when noone is watching yet u still manage to rip it.. w.e kid if u dont like my opinion thats ur prob all i said hes got ugly flares.. sorry i hang with cats that have wayyyy better form and learned in the streets.. simple.

  • why u so mad?! bcus i look better than u? and probably pull more hoes?1 ahahahaha! what are u show u face! atleast im not affraid of showing the world my face and stating my opinions instead of pussing out and hidding behind the computer screen fool. hahah yeaa and Unique Styles is also shit.. and Ill Moves Crew..nigga please ur a str8 toy.. come down and GET ROASTED!

  • LOL whoah this isnt a beauty contest, you're pretty full of yourself. Do you suck your own nuts too? And please dont crack your mom jokes, cause thats immature but i wouldnt expect anything more from you. I dont think i categorized your crew with theirs did I? You assume too much. Your crew is no where close. You have no respect, this is why hiphop is dead. Cause theres fake power cats like you. hard to find true bboying around these days. You also cant stay in one place = bad form. Bad 4 battle

  • "UGLY FLARESSSS!!!!!!!!!1 dont put words in my mouth because most of u idiots can';t even do backspins... or..handstands?! lmaooo " -

    NonSenCESmokEsU

1- how are his flares ugly

2 - most of us cant do handstands? haha

  • airflare is one of the easiest moves in bboying? lol no offence, but it's not like you're a cico or kys either .
