Season 4. They kiss the finale. episode 4.20 (Luke can see her face), he asks her to Liz and Tj's wedding. Episode 4.21 (Last Week Fights this week tights), is the wedding and they dance and he asks her to a movie. Episode 4.22 (raincoats and recipies) is where they kiss.

You all know something...I've seen that scene in That Damn Donna Reed many times, and I swear I never saw this before, but I think he was actually leaning in to kiss her then! I used to think it was just a smug moment where they were smiling, but now I think he was actually making a move! It's at 0.30 - 0.31 (if you don't want to hunt for that scene elsewhere).

I totally get the slow motion.. the brief kiss and an offscreen presentation of the necklace gift were hardly sufficient to the context of the occasion, i.e., final series episode, particularly since people had been waiting for the reconcilliation for such a long time.
