The one with red helmet, regardless whatever Dojo he came from or if he officially learned Karate, what he did in this video is NOT Karate.
The way of Karate is to overcome your opponents' technique with other technique to neutralise it. What he did was "you kick hard I try to kick harder" mentality. That is NOIT karate.
On top of that, Karate hardly ever start with kick.
@rimidalvetarak Actually, there are many forms of Karate and those schools which teach Karate from a sports point of view teach the students such techniques and philosophy which will help them during the sport.
I used to fight Taikenkai Karate and that sport karate form had kicks more than it had punches.
@bogsangryheart11 ahh, come on, don't hate TKD, but think of it as a helper to JKD. After all, I recall reading somewhere that bruce lee learned certain kicks from a TKD master only to support his leg kicking techniques. Just saying.
@Extremerulez9409 Karate: In many of its forms, is for Defending yourself out in the world.
WTF Sparring: Is a sport that will not defend you in the world.
ITF, GTF, and KKW Formal Taekwon-Do Forms: Are a Martial Art developed initially for the North Korean Military, and is a complete Stand-Up Combat Art.
There is no such thing as the best martial art, just the best fighter! Even if you study the "best" martial art but you do not show any effort, you won't learn.
Karate has good self defense, it's not about who would win in a tournament. It's about who will live/survive in a real fight!! Also Karate is an OLDER martial art than tae kwon do. So think before you say anything.
I use to think that Karate suck but since I started it, it was good!
Competition Martial Art is not realistic especially in a real life situation.
A fight does not stop if you get a point....
Using controlled techniques over a long period of time leads to muscle memory issues. In a real life situation you will pull your punch or kick for control and not follow through

@ Chilenitomatias im sorry dude but Karate Beats TKD ;) ...TKD IS A SPECTACULAR MARIATL ARTS but KARATE is PRACTIC ; REAL in which we can feel the low points ; YOU ARE WRONG !!!
The other korean Martial Arts STyle can participate in Taekwondo competition too because all kicks are the same. Some people who learn TKD and for example HKD wear TKD or HKD Dobok. Depends on the Meeting. So it is hard to see what the people have learned. The TKD Dobok wearer can also practice HKD but he wear TKD dobok. Who knows. But like I already said Competition rule is Kicking and Punching.
Blue corner is Taekwondo (WTF Dobok). Red corner can be Moo do kwan, Tang Soo Do, Hwarang Do, Hapkido or other Grappling and selfdenfense style of koreans Martial Arts.I have not seen any unique technique of Tang Soo Do, HwarangDo etc... like Grappling technique and low kicks. So they fight in the style of Taekwondo (Taekwondo Rules).
It's not cheating, this is point stop competition rules. The first strike gets the point, the taekwondo fighter is employing defensive counter-attacks techniques, which do not count as the fight stops as soon as the karateka makes the first strike which counts.
Karate is red because he is wearing a Gi not a Dobok. Gi is like a jacket, open all the way in front. Whereas Dobok is like a T-Shirt, closed in front with a V-neck. Gi has broader arms to allow proper punching and Hogu Kumite Karate (Sparring with guards on) always wears a helmet with glass mask to protect face, whereas Tae Kwon Do only has helmet and no glass mask.
@MynameisAbhaySoni i disagree with what you think a dobok is. I practice Korean martial arts and I have a top that is folded in the front and I have a top that is a v neck long sleeve top. Also head protection is worn and eye protection is opitional.
When a person refers to a Dobok he generally means a TaeKwonDo dobok. Like when people say TaeKwonDo, they generally mean WTF. Korean martial arts do have Gi like doboks which are opened in the front and worn like a jacket. For example in Hapkido. But I was referring to a Taekwondo Dobok.
