Band-Aid, USA for Africa, Live-AID and Artists United Against Apartheid were great coming-togethers of artists from Motown to rock to punk/new wave, funk, soul and disco to raise money and awareness about the crises of the African continent. Queen were against apartheid! They said this many times. They did an error when they went there in 1984. In fact Queen + Paul Rodgers were at the concert for Nelson Mandela's 90's Birthday.
