Solo bass means 1 person playing...unaccompanied...bass solo means you're taking a solo...you were accompanied anyway by a backing track, so *splat*....wow..has my life really come to this? haha

This is one of the best renditions of donna lee head on youtube.

great job on timing and intonation. you don't lose any notes, and most importantly you don't rush.

many donna lee attempts here suck really bad because people just feel like they have to rush and otherwise they can't be as good as jaco. but that's not the point of course (unfortunately I tend to play like that myself, so trying to unlearn).

although one of criticism: you seem to be off wrt chords occasionally.

Perhaps some of you don't understand MUSICAL TERMINALOGY. . . . SOLO means ONE PERSON PLAYING or "SOLI" in classical terms. Just adjust the "Pan" knob to only play on the BACK pickup closest to the bridge and turn the "Tone" knob to FULL BASS with NO TREBLE (my Gallien-Kruger Amp helps!)
