  • Maybe the continuity problems will be fixed with it's sequels.

  • @kwangwonchng I wish they could but, I don't think it is possible. If it were a reboot than I would have no problems with the continuity. Unfortunately it's a prequel. It's too connected to the first movies.

  • @toekneebeeears There probably working on a sequel to "First Class", continuity is officially down the drain.

  • @sfighter991 Agreed.

  • This movie was better than transformers 3

  • @kwangwonchng That's what I've been hearing.

  • At this point I don't expect the films to follow the comic continuity or even the movies that closely (with the first couple they didn't know it was going to be a franchise). I'm just hoping that this film will be good.

  • @edward2962 Like I've told many people before, simply put, the movie is good not great. If you go in with slightly low expectation, you will like the movie.

  • In Wolverine, it's never said that the blonde girl is emma frost...so there! IN YO FACE!

  • @themextacy Are you sure Lupe ? I'm pretty sure that Kayla Silverfox is trying to free her sister who she says her name is Emma. Plus, she has the same powers. If you look on IMDB you will see that her character's name is Kayla's Sister / Emma.

  • They continuity errors are explained cuz they don't really say it's a prequel or a reboot

  • @Albasirth Actually the director Mathew Vaughn has said that it is connected to the first films. It can not be a reboot because reboot start over with no connections to the previous films. This movie clearly connects to the previous movies by 1.having the same shot for shot opening of Magneto at the concentration camp. 2. Having cameos by 2 actors from the other movies. 3. Having the same look as the other movies such as Mystique's look, Azazel's telaport effect, the same mansion, and many more.

  • @toekneebeeears Mmmm, I didn't think about that, it's cuz Korey from Spill.com said that the director didn't actually say if it was a reboot or prequel when they review the movie

  • Good Grade Tony, nice to see how you pointed out the continuity errors and I agree, they could've incorporated some of backstories and it could've followed the first 2 movies solidly.

I saw this movie last Sunday, and I liked it.

  • @sfighter991 Thanks. I'm glad we agree.

  • Nice vid, Tony. I find myself sharing some of your concerns as it relates 2 continuity, however where I differ from u is, although I enjoyed this film (perhaps a l'il more than yourself) nonetheless 4 me the continuity extends further back than giant size Xmen no.1. My issue w/ this movie is the same that I had w/ X1; What happened 2 the original five?

Another thing is it takes place in the 60's, and yet when the team suits up, they're sportin' those Quitely duds from Morrison's 2000's run

    C Ya

  • @pmknight12 Thanks. I think that in the first X-men movie they used characters like Wolverine,Rouge, and Storm because they are more popular than the original 5. At least Beast and Angel showed up in X3. Although, they were not represented well.

  • @toekneebeeears My being African American, I'm certainly on board 4 diversity, but I can be a l'il bit of a comic loyalist, which 4 me means things shouldn't deviate much the actual envisioning that Lee/Kirby had. So of course u're right about why the producers did what they did w/ the characters they put in. I get the business of it, I just don't agree w/ it.

Of course, that's just me. :-)
