  • Thanks, Tilly:) Yes, Olivia is an extremely inspiring, young woman. She is a joy to be around, an exceptional talent, makes such a difference in so many people's lives... both with her art and her person. To answer your question: I design/create jewelry, sell in boutiques/galleries and teach beading classes. Additionally, I engage in photography;on rare occasion I display photos. Recently, I've explored oil painting however, this is just a hobby. I have no formal training in its application.

  • Hey, is that a hurricane painting in the back round? I recognize the kio painting, but what is the painting to the right of you?

  • Olivia I like your answer about how you have to love to paint, and you can't expect to just do it get rich. Ain't it the truth? It's a difficult career path, and if you aren't totally in love with it, it's gonna be even tougher! But I also think it's normal to go through artist blocks....that's not anything to worry about cause your passion will bring you back eventually.

  • I agree, although I hope you get noticed; you have a lot of talent in painting. I wouldn't expect to get rich, but if some one deserved it- you would! You're not framing a shoe and calling it art lol you have a serious gift! I hope the best 4 you and your career. (PS: hope this doesn't sound like weird internet advise or something! lol)

  • Thanks for this, UH that heater.. I like that everyone knows that I did other mediums for a while and did alot of work to get where I am.. you really do rock and I am so glad you are a part of my life, and have been so wonderful about sharing my life with others!

  • lol re heater I have a clip of us both shooting one another cursory glances when it hissed on the first time. Good Times! There was so much more/many more clips I wanted to include in this vid. Like, what you shared re college critiques, your Mission, how it takes determination to realize one's dreams, your thoughts about painting "nudes" etc. 10 mins just isn't enough time for an interview with Olivia Williams. I think the world of you/your art/AFF, Olivia - I'm blessed w/your friendship.

  • ... amy, really well done! ... i'd like to see some of your art, too ... and olivia ... it's so sweet to hear you talk about your mom and how supportive she's been ... that's so important ... lovely painting and good luck with art for fire!

    xoxo

  • You are very kind. Olivia is such fun to talk with:) I will be posting vids re my beading/gemstones. I'm working on a website for my jewelry and photography and may blog again...I have been known to share some of the poetry/short stories I write in that format. I love to paint (oils) but I'm no lisaviger or oliviapeach;) I guess I could post a

vid about How NOT To Paint With Oils, lol Thanks for watching, sharing your beautiful art/vids and appreciating artistic talent in others.

  • That was a really good interview!

It's cool to see people from different accounts in videos like this, like guest speakers. I have a few appearances in Homepike videos, myself, but it's nothing like this.

    ...The tea is done! XD

  • You are the first person to mention "the noise" in the background (at least I think that is what you so cleverly and humorously are referring to with your, "tea is done" comment). That is Olivia's heater:) I've been curious to know if people are wondering what that noise is when they watch this (?). Thank you for the compliments. Olivia made the interview fun and interesting with her Olivianess. Now, I have to find you in Homepike vids;)

  • I'll take one lump squire.

  • lol

  • *Hits with cartoon hammer*

  • I JUST now noticed this comment -- HILARIOUS!!

  • Heh heh...

Maybe I should stall my jokes for you from now on. =P

    Kidding.

  • re Homepike vids: Lost With An Emo is my favorite:)

  • Loved it Amy - Very informative, and it's always fascinating to learn what drives and moves an artist. I love the paintings in the background as well, especially the fish. Want to see that one finished. Also, like the guided style of this, your questions were perfect, very well done!

  • Thank you Mr. Jerry:0) I have two of Olivia's paintings in my home -- I can't wait to show them to you. This woman, Jerry...she is amazing. I cried the first time I saw one of the paintings I now own. The fish painting is extraordinary, I agree. I'm glad to hear that the "guided style" worked for you. Olivia could do her own interview of herself, though. She is so articulate, poised and camera - comfortable. FEEL BETTER, btw!

  • She is an excellent painter and I love her work, I really wish I could WATCH her paint.

  • Excellent artists recognize other, excellent artisits;) Check - out the vid this post is re to...time lapse of Olivia in action... P.S. Thanks for watching/rating/visiting;I've missed you. I'm oh- so- close to my 5 Facts vids/footage of my recent travels. I just wanted to support Art For Fire/Olivia as the deadline for art contributions nears. HUGS.

  • We didn't have time for a "retake" and realized the lighting was poor. These vids are more about sharing the talents/facts about my subscribers/friends more than anything else. I can't dedicate as much time to youtube hobby as I would like, right now. If I worried 2 much about certain aspects I wouldn't end - up posting much of anything at present time. So, thanks for patience/understanding/feedback. It helps me 2 know how 2 improve and want to post more vids. re life/tide = I agree w/U

  • Thank you, Diane! Olivia's interesting life/talent and her presence "on camera" made it easy;)

  • Interesting interview - especially as Olivia is working in a completely different art form to Steve & I (for example). The fish symbolism is wonderful - again, very nice video!

  • I'm just so proud of/amazed by the talents of ALL of my subscribers and peers, yourself included! One of the things I like so much about Olivia's artwork/process is the very symbolism you speak of. She doesn't "just paint" well. Her paintings are an extension of her life's experiences, beliefs, passions and emotions. There is always a fascinating story behind each piece.

  • Thanks for helping us get to know Olivia a bit better, Amy!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like that fish sometimes. :)

  • Its my pleasure to share the talents of/interesting facts about my friends and fellow subscribers. re that fish: Yeah, AND he can't even go to the desert! lol
