AUDI S5 is the best!! I got a ride in one and I got to rev the hell out of it and damn did she sing!! Manual is the best for this ride. I love the look and performance of this beauty. THANK GOD FOR THE AUDI S5!!

not sure if its better than an m3. m3 has a higher rev range and its new engine is absolutely supurb. but i like the looks of the s5. cant wait for the convertible to come out next year

you can't really beat a coupe with quattro all wheel drive technology, fsi direct injection, producing >300 hp. as a bmw fan like most, i am truly impressed. this is a beautiful piece of machinery. bmw watch out!

I have just been to barcelona with Lexus to drive the LS600h hybrid and the A8 W12. The lead cars were S5's and are totally excellent. dont even mention BMW in the same breath. BMW were once great,(i have an alpina 7) but are now for sad try hards who would rather have a base 318 than a top spec better built mondeo because they think the badge is cool. well it isnt. it's shit. Audi Rule.

Audi... quattro... what do you want more? for the people who posted commnents earlier, the RS4 doesn't have a bitubo engine. it uses FSI technology. 4 circles rule.

The 'RS' model is the top performance model in Audi's line-up. Similar to to the S4 vs the RS4. RS5 will probabably come in with 450bhp compared to the S5's 354bhp. RS5 will slot above the M3, (while the S5 is below it) and it will be more expensive. Current RS4 runs $73k, expect the RS5 to be $75-80K

is it only 340bhp?i will be very dissapointed if it as it should have aimed to compete on the xkr/db9 level with at leat 4450bhp on tap?what are audi thinking?unless they're deciding to bring out an rs5, 450bhp?that would be well worth it then.

The S5 has 354hp not 340hp, it's the same engine as the RS4 just downed tuned. Retune it with a new chip and you can get the same 420hp as the RS4.

I think you can expect an RS5 the same way as there's an RS4. Rumors are, it won't be until 2009 though.

Let's not forget that it was made to compete with the outstanding 335i, in the exclusive coupe' market. I think it will do well for this purpose. The M3 will be better matched against the upcoming RS5. Btw, I am a proud Audi owner myself!.. Beautiful cars!!
