@ervans I caught them at 3 places on their way back to Brooklyn on my bicycle, no easy feat. Maybe I'll see you trackside when the 844 is out here in a few weeks.
@DanielVolker Looks like it might be loose or has a crack in it, I looked at another video of it and it looks like there is also steam shooting out near the base of the whistle.
@doronlassil Thanks! I'm a volunteer with the Friends and spent much of the day on Thursday getting her ready. In fact, you can see me hanging out of the rail car as the train pulls in.
im not a huge train fan but i love seeing trains like this in action. that was a nice train bro keep posting vids that are showing me and the rest of the youtube community the best of the best that the railway industry has to offer
@KingofTomedy yeah, but i asked 6 or 7 people in my train club what the flying scotsman was and they had no idea. If i haddnt watched Thomas the tank engine when i was little i wouldnt have known ether. lol. There equil i would say

It's sad to hear how fouled 4449's whistle has become. Still great video. thumbs up

It's at the Brooklyn Roundhouse for over 25 years. By
2012, the steel beasts should be on display in a new roundhouse near the Oregon
Museum of Science and Industry. Eventually, an interpretive center will be built there,
too.
ervans 1 year ago
@ervans Any progress on the new roundhouse?

No offense, but the Daylight is NOT known as the "World's Most Famous Steam Locomotive". The Flying Scotsman is and always will be.
However, I guess you can say it's "America's Most Famous Steam Locomotive".

Haha here we go again with crap saying "The World's Most Famous" something or other that only exists in the US.
There is more to the world than just your backyard or my backyard so stop claiming "The World's Most Famous" when it isn't.
Its like saying world series blah blah game when its only played in the US !!
