MP-5s are crap compared to the other SMGs like the MAC-10s, UMP-45s, Vectors or other .45cal. or larger weapons. Why do they not have IMI .50 A.E. Desert Eagles as side arms atleast. Use 240 Bravos as main waepons anyway. 1 man with a 240 could take on a squad or more. FIRE SUPERIORTY will always win any battle. It also helps when you are firing a 7.62 NATO round than a 9x19 mm pistol round.

One of the few good scenes from the awful TV version (The OVA's are better) I have just one question Why were the Human troops armed with dinky 9mm MP5's? They should be armed with either TDI Vector AMG's or Beowulf rifles.

@ultrajd Probably because it's training and they're saving the heavy weaponry for real battle. Or maybe not. I really don't know, but that's how I rationalized it.

@ladygrinningstardust Have you seen the show? They use MP5's as their main weapons all the time. And even though they aim for the head I still say give the troops something with a little better stopping power. I mean for god sakes at least let them use P-90's.
