@gullywong Haha TF3 and Avatar are way more than great special effects. The movies are huge in scale, thrilling, music is great, there is humor involved etc. They are both extremely entertaining to me, and that is the key to a great movie experience after all. I watched HP in "normal" (readD) 3D. It really doesnt matter what 3D tech the cinemas use. Some IMAX theatres use active 3D I believe, so the image is crisper. IMAX uses ridiculous resolution though haha, so image was deliciously crisp an

Anyway, the ending of the movie was the flaw for me.

The end of the movie may not have been as epic as the book but overall, the movie was still worth seeing in cinema.

Despite that flaw, overall, I think the movie was still great.

@gullywog No, the 3D effects were bad because the movie was not filmed in 3D like tf3 and Avatar. 3D is integrated in tf3 and avatar production, so it looks great, natural (and just plain awesome in TF3). Yes storylines in those two filmes are nothing to cheer about, but they are certainly good enough not to spoil the fun factor of the films. I enjoyed both way more than this HP.

The atmosphere of this Harry Potter movie was dark. I think that's why the 3D was not as effective as it should have been.

As for Avatar and Transformers, the scenes were very bright and colourful so obviously the 3D effects would be more noticable.

Alan Rickman was amazing as Snape in this, I love the way he was so mysterious and hard to read , he brought the character life , I love the way he allways looked like he was trying not to lose face and just break down, I loved the way he did the princes tale, saddest part in the book/film in my oppinion.
