I have two problems with this version; about ten seconds of the beginning has been (badly) spliced out of it, and the version of Tutti Frutti that was sampled was from the single re-recording, not the album version of that song. This version is very good as a set of blueprints for another version of the song, not so good as a song itself.
Jorgen is spot on! This is the original - the album version was slightly slower than the single but you can barely notice it. However since 1990 this version is never played because of some sort of crap from Warner Bros so that's probably the reason this doesn't seem like the original..although the Elvis parts aren't originals
@Jorgen87 - I graduated in 86 and I still have the original cassette. I love it..... I'm suprised I haven't wore it out it then. My daughter loves it and she was born in 98.
i love this version much better. i had the cassette as a kid and loved it. i despise the sound alike version as i think it does not pay the proper homage to the originals to whom JB had sampled to make this masterpiece
@a7xN - We played this piece from Glenn Miller in jazz band back in the 80's and it's In The Mood. We played the whole piece of it. I still have the sheet music to it. I hope that helps.
It was great. I loved playing it. I get it out every once in a while play the sax and my husband plays his thrumpt

Lots of good "Pop" old songs out there to use. "Chatanooga chooga" comes to mind. And other songs during WWII.

this aint the original mix. everything sounds different.

@hrdstylr When you buy the orginal, you will see that the mix from the others is from the 1990 albums, not the 89 witch this is ;)
I did listen to this from i were 2years old, im born in 87 so i know this is the orginal.
If you are lucky, you can get the LP of this and listen, just make sure its from 89 ;)

@Jorgen87 i guess it must be the 90s version im more familiar with then.
