Let me enlighten you Dale. You have to play the G chord with your pinky on the low e and your ring on the high. The riff: place your index on the first fret of the a and slide up a fret and then hit your open g. IF you play the G chord the standard way it will be cluttered as you say when changing chords. Try it.
i would love it if you could slow it down for a novice like me. i'm dying to learn this song and i know a slower version of this would be perfect.
