@RetroShinigami There is that, and its launch price was 300$. The combination of its poor marketing, lack of intriguing game titles, and high price caused little interest in the device. As a result, most people were already turned off of the N-Gage by the time the QD was released. Had it succeeded, it would have ended up competing with the PSP and DS. It was a little outdated on arrival, too. So, unfortunately, it ended up failing commercially.

I don't mind the N-Gage taking it's time to "boot up", because I did that once when I bought it and haven't turned it off since ^^

The N-Gage is perfect for playing Gameboy and Gamegear games, because you can have them all on one SD-card instead of carrying a whole bag of cartridges.

But my N-Gage is fully functional without a valid SIM... the one that is inside has "expired".

A SIM-card is a small card that stores the phones settings and Phonebook/messages and stuff. It's quite common in European cellphones (GSM-NMT) The SIM-card is the card that connects your phone to your Cellphone Provider hence why it will not boot without one. Americans use EDGE phones that have a different systems. Also, the long boot-time is because it needs to read the entire SIM-card before being able to run.

- i don't know about america but in europe, the phone came out in 2003 not 2000 and since its a european phone i think it came out here first

- for 2003 the graphics werent average cell phone they were groundbreaking

I have the original N-gage, I never use it because I hate mobile phone, but I loved this unit back in 2003. Lots of people hate this thing, and I can kind of understand why, but I liked the ability to listen to the radio and play MP3's on my phone. the annoying thing about the original was that you needed to take the battery out of the unit to change the game card. The original had an FM radio and an MP3 player, the N-gage QD did not.

Well, you seem to know how to do a review, but not very familiar with mobile phones. The thing I noticed is when you tried to show the card slot, it took you...a lot. I don't know why, but on mine it's really smooth and easy.

I agree on the headphones and power supply ports though...always exposed would've been way better. Let's check out the next part ^^
