I hope English will get more like "standard" English. Mandarin is more like the main language there. All Chinese Singaporeans speak Mandarin but not all of them speak English. Singlish is actually like Mandarin being translated to English without correct grammar, with Malay(?) words being mixed. To tell the truth, Singapore is glamorous the first time I got there, but in a few months I knew it is not be the place I can live and work for a long time. S'poreans aren't that friendly actually =.=

And don't get me started on services. While there are indeed instances of good service here and there, they are very rare. Singapore's service are not exactly top-notch.

But of course, there are many up-sides in being a Singaporean. (excluding the political stuff, that's a sensitive issue) We have clean streets, crime rate is pretty low, and people have access to healthcare and education. Of course, if you go deeper into detail... but not every country's perfect! So yeah.

The morning and evening rush-hour commute conclusively show that Singaporeans do not give up their seats to those who need it more than us. The young, the middle-aged, everyone. Yes, there are indeed such cases, however it is pretty rare. At least it has picked up recently.
