BMW 740iL e38 Wiring up CCFL Angel Eyes to 4pos Euro switch

1. What fuse did you tap into ( in the electrical box upfront) to have your 4 position switch run independently from the MAIN headlamp switch ??? ( So you dont have to have the headlamps on to operate fogs & ccfls )

2. Because you tapped into a different power source for the 4 position switch.....Do you still have the illuminated FRONT ( Green ) & REAR ( Yellow ) Fog icons on the dash when you flip the switch to either of the 4 positions ????

And was wondering how you "wired" up your lights???

I currently run my Angel Eyes off the park light wire.

Do you have the wiring schematic for YOUR light setup???

@7674Princess There's an extra wire spot on the fog light switch, that's the switched ground that will go to the angel eyes. Wire your angel eyes to the battery positive, and run the ground wire through the dash to the engine compartment to control the ground on and off for the CCFL's

ihave 740i 2000 i have install the ccfl on my car and i try to take power for my ccfl from park light it work fine but when i put on reverse there is beeeb sound come from the parking sensor speaker and if i put on D or P it will keep beeb ony if i switch of the light .

i went today and bought relay and i made the realy to work when i swich on the light and i conect positve to main system in car the car still make beeb

they turn off automatically, or they will turn off by the switch

it looks like u upgraded ur 95 740 into a 01 740 by changing the headlights, corner lights, and the fenders. Very nice

No angel eyes are not stock on a 95 E38 they are aftermarket you might have to buy a new set if they flicker or have to wire some resistors.

Which wire did you wire the 12V ingition wire into the Fog Light switch? Im trying to do the exact same thing :)

I think the 4th wire is Negative Ground - (so the Angel eyes get switched 12V from the fuse box and switched negative ground from the fog light right?

I got CCFL angel eyes from Ebay. They look pretty fucking sweet. They have them for most models. Expect to pay $300-350 altogether. With taxes and shipping mine was 374.00. I put them on a 2002 330Ci They look killer. Nice and blue. They stay on all the time when the car is running but if you know anything about them they use like 10% of the power needed for a regular halogen light so its really a non-factor in the engine performance with those running

Nice, Colin. Now I just need you to do mine :) I think I would just take my current AE wire to the switch, then to the ballasts. Not a big deal...just haven't done it. Love the 4pos mod

I updated the front of the old lights with OEM 99-01 pieces. You also need to change the fenders to make it look correct.
