  • I enjoyed this film in Seattle at their film festival.

  • great trailer

  • bus is manx'agus' changed to 'ass' pronounced 'azz'

  • This film was amazing, me and my school went to see it...Glasgow Gaelic school :)

  • Does anyone know where I can get this movie in the US? I've looked everywhere (even online) and no luck. Importing it would be extremely expensive... Any suggestions?

  • Peaches,

I bought it from Amazon UK and it was very in-expensive 20 US more or less and it arrived within a few days. The subtitles are in English and the other celtic languages. Plus you can view it with commentary from the director and the actor who plays the Grandad.

  • Is e seo a' chiad ùine a chunnaic mi an film seo...'s tha Gàidhlig gu leòr agam!

  • I wonder, if I were to buy the DVD, if it has english subtitles. Does anyone know?

  • it has english, irish gaelic, scot gaelic and welsh from what I've read.

  • i have met the director

  • Wish I had the mother tongue.

  • never to late to start. I´m 24 and I am learning Irish and I´m Dutch:) Good luck!

Tá mé 24 d'aois agus tá mé ag foghlaim gaeilge anois agus is Ollannach mé:)

    ádh mór ort!

  • The film is in Scottish Gaelic, but Irish is a sister language; you should have no trouble understanding it.

  • Alba gu brath!

  • FINALLY! More films are being made in the Celtic languages as well as having a wider distribution, it's about time. I highly doubt this'll be released to many U.S. theatres, but at least the vast majority of us now have DVD players. Luckily mine plays PAL format. Glè mhath agus tapadh leibhse!

  • I'm just learning scottish gaelic. What does agus mean? I understand the rest.

  • 'AGUS' is the word for 'AND' in both Gaidhlig agus Gaeilge (Scottish and Irish Gaelic). That's great you're learning to speak Gaelic, I need to get back to it myself, so more power to ya! Cheers!

  • agus "AG-US" is the Scottish Gaelic and Irish for and.

  • If the teaser trailer is anything to go by, should be a terrific film. I can't believe BAFTA have snubbed it (for political reasons)!. Suas leis a' Ghàidhlig!

  • Will this film play in the US? Come to Austin, Texas!!

  • good to Gaelic making a comeback

  • Tha mi a'dol airson fhaicinn air Diciadain 's tha mi a'coimhead air adhart ris gu mòr!

  • Is ea. Ba mhaith liom fosta ag feachaint scannán seo! Labhairim as Gaeilg agus thuigim roinnt Gàidhlig ach is deacair é an blas... Ba mhaith liom ag dul go dtí an t-Alba mar tá an radharcra fabhlach!!!

  • Is that the Irish Gaelic you were speaking there? I've never seen it written down before! Wow!

  • Is that Irish Gaelic? Wow!

  • Tá! Yes it is. It's very similar in fact. Could you understand much of what I said? there can be some disambiguates between both languages at times. Sin é an Ghaeilg na hÉireann!!! :D Tá an scannán sin as Gaelig anois - Kings. As Gaeilg agus as Béarla.

  • Sorry, but I couldn't! (Sorry!) Do you know if they sound at all similar when spoken? I don't think I've even heard it spoken aloud either! (What a deprived childhood I've had...lol!) Could you please send me a few private messages? Cause you've got me really interested now!!!

  • Why have BAFTA NOT submitted this film for the OSCARS?

    !!!See Video Response Above!!!

  • is math sin!!

  • cha chreid mi nach smaoinich sa-n t-Sultuine

  • tha sin eibhinn gu dearbha! cuine a bhios am film ùr seo ri fhaicinn anns na cinemas? a bheil fhios aig aon?

  • Air an 5mh den Damhair.

  • What a beautiful look and sound - I just can't wait to see the full film. It is an exciting venture for sure!!!
