Does anyone know where I can get this movie in the US? I've looked everywhere (even online) and no luck. Importing it would be extremely expensive... Any suggestions?
I bought it from Amazon UK and it was very in-expensive 20 US more or less and it arrived within a few days. The subtitles are in English and the other celtic languages. Plus you can view it with commentary from the director and the actor who plays the Grandad.
FINALLY! More films are being made in the Celtic languages as well as having a wider distribution, it's about time. I highly doubt this'll be released to many U.S. theatres, but at least the vast majority of us now have DVD players. Luckily mine plays PAL format. Glè mhath agus tapadh leibhse!
'AGUS' is the word for 'AND' in both Gaidhlig agus Gaeilge (Scottish and Irish Gaelic). That's great you're learning to speak Gaelic, I need to get back to it myself, so more power to ya! Cheers!
If the teaser trailer is anything to go by, should be a terrific film. I can't believe BAFTA have snubbed it (for political reasons)!. Suas leis a' Ghàidhlig!
Is ea. Ba mhaith liom fosta ag feachaint scannán seo! Labhairim as Gaeilg agus thuigim roinnt Gàidhlig ach is deacair é an blas... Ba mhaith liom ag dul go dtí an t-Alba mar tá an radharcra fabhlach!!!
Tá! Yes it is. It's very similar in fact. Could you understand much of what I said? there can be some disambiguates between both languages at times. Sin é an Ghaeilg na hÉireann!!! :D Tá an scannán sin as Gaelig anois - Kings. As Gaeilg agus as Béarla.
Sorry, but I couldn't! (Sorry!) Do you know if they sound at all similar when spoken? I don't think I've even heard it spoken aloud either! (What a deprived childhood I've had...lol!) Could you please send me a few private messages? Cause you've got me really interested now!!!
I enjoyed this film in Seattle at their film festival.

The film is in Scottish Gaelic, but Irish is a sister language; you should have no trouble understanding it.
