About the disclaimer. I highly doubt "All of the above" as I can't see a dead person being fined or arrested.
"Book him Danno" "But, he's dead" "Yeah well I saw the disclaimer on the video he watched, and it said we can do all of the above. Give his corpse a $1000 fine and though his rotting ass in gaol!"
Check my channel out for new Urban Exploring videos to come. Currently I have two episodes of Ipswich Court Building and Gallows. It's a big complex of buildings, really weird stuff inside. Be sure to subscribe for more!
I want to join this crew. I mean I do buildering which is really important when it comes to a place that the only way in is a three story window and minimal grip holds to reach it. I would love to join this team. It would be like a dream come true to work in those areas and also to be able to see things that most people would just look past. Would be a dream come true.
I have just uploaded a clip about Sydney's underground tunnels, forts, bunkers, drains and so on, please check it out, there is quite a bit to see in it
This isn't so much UEing as it is lugging heavy equipment around like a tool. If I go out all I bring is a camera and a flashlight all the other shit is unnecessary. And it's not a "growing subculture" it's a shrinking hobby. abandonments don't live forever :/
This is such a bad idea. Not exploring the buildings, that's awesome. Giving it a fucking name and turning it into a "sub-culture". Your attracting people to it who don't belong. Your exposing it to the masses and destroying it. Way to take one of my childhood passions and give it a label.
It actually happens- every so often people get attacked, fall, get electrocuted, etc.
And it's not at all uncommon to get taken in if you're caught on an abandonment with a deed-holder and posted "no trespassing signs"- at least in my state. Never stopped me though :)
I remember in the morning while waiting for the bus there was creepy house rite next to our apartment. We went in through the basement door so awesome memories
What does the guy say when he asks "Jerry?" - all I can hear is "there's a ... in the ... " And obviously Jerry and the other guy respond with "What?....."
he is using rock climbing equipment that doesn't allow use when there are knots in the rope haha.. so he was freaked out that he was stuck, dangling in mid air.
I live in michigan, which hopefully means plenty of old farm homes. Also take a trip down to Indiana a couple times every year. If I remember correctly there's a couple cool buildings where we stay, and more on the way back. I'm just starting to get an interest in this but my parents and everyone I know hates this stuff, partly because it's illegal in some cases, and partly because they aren't interested, this translates to me not being able to do any exploring :(
Damn I would really love to try this. The problem is that I live in America. Not only do I live in America but I live in the southern region. I would be shot/raped by hillbillys
fined, arrested, hurt killed or all the above. I cannot think of one situation where all of the above could happen. Unless you fall off a ladder....break your leg. cops arrest you...judge charges you a 1000 dollar fine...and then on the way out of the court house a cop shoots you.
Do not use flares while exploring tunnels, the smoke is very dangerous, also if you ever explore sewers or tunnels connected with sewers do not use any fire and be sure to have gasmasks with filter for organic materials.
the chemical Hydrogen sulfide often occurs there and other flammable chemicals and gases. Consult with wikipedia, it's trustworthy enough.
Yeah, I like err0r's message, lol, there is a little too much drain exploration for me. After coming down with a spinal infection that had me on my back for a year - working in a clean, retail pharmacy, I don't know that tromping through shitty water and pond scum, with eerie music and the threat of cops makes for much excitement.... it actually makes me feel like a real germaphobe and all cringy....
"URBAN EXPLORERS: INTO THE DARKNESS" is coming to Chicago! My documentary will screen at the Chicago Underground Film Festival on Sunday, August 19th at 4:45PM at the Elegant Mr. Gallery at 1355 N. Milwaukee Ave, Third Floor in Chicago. You can purchase tickets in advance via that website. Should be a fun screening. Please forward this message to anyone you know who lives in Chicago! Tx, Melody
Makes out UE to be mroe hardcore than it really is. UE is more about going down in drain with geeks and smelling the farts of the person infront of you than it is being a hardcore, elite adventurer.
I have just recently become interested (addicted)with UE. Great work! I'm attempting now, to find places in my region to explore. Even as a child I've been fascinated with and attracted to old abandoned places. Curiosity maybe what killed the cat but is also what fuels the explorer.

They're at an abandoned "futuristic home" that was built in the 80's. And no, he's just pointing his finger at them
