  • i dont have any friends

  • And don't accuse me of trolling, I'm just honest with the fact that I don't like him, nothing more, nothing less.

    It is only my opinion

  • What an arrogant person really, I don't like fakesagan, but you are free to do so.

  • I think that the reason a lot of people see the internet as separate from real life is because so many people go online anonymously, they do not act the way they would act in "real life", they abandon the morality instilled in them in the "real world", where people know who they are and can shun them/confront them for their maladjusted, cruel or antisocial behavior. You don't see it that way because you do not anonymize yourself online. Therefore your relationship, friendships, videos etc. are u

  • @gerberakasbah thats becuz people dont have morals, take a look at fruedian phychology and look for the cultural superego.

  • @conrad3867

As for Freudian psychology, I'm sorry but I really don't take much stock in Freud's theories. They are a little too dependent upon conjecture, guesswork and his own personal prejudices and opinions for my taste. That and much of his work has been discredited by the psychological community.

  • The comments are better then the video.

  • I think what theyhtye mean is that their online habits usually bare no consequences to their life separate from the internet, the life they consider 'real'.

  • I may not agree with everything you say, but MAN are you sexy, fakesagan.

  • maybe the guy just said it wasn't real defensively because you were so dismissive of his claim of friendship

  • If the Internet isn't real life, then Internet Porn Friday was fun at the time but it's fucking useless now, isn't it?

On a more serious note, people are slowly beginning to take the Net too seriously and are treating it like their second lives,as if they enter an alternate reality when they log on.

I will mirror this for sure.

    -The Catalyst

  • realistically the internet is only as real as we make it. if we decide to say, be a part of a community that community is then aware to your reality. Just because same said community does not acknowledge the person(s) does not negate existence (reality ). real is not authorized; real is TRUTH

  • people use the internet as means of escape from real life. I do this as well, whether if its being addicted to social networking, laughing at how stupid people are or playing video games. People think it isn't real life because ultimitly they want to be in a different world when using the internet, they need their own little worlds and own little universes such as the matrix to make themselve at peace

  • @xRyzOfficial Exactly.

  • I think people sometimes might call the Internet ''not real life'' because sometimes people be acting as something they are normally not on the Internet via a persona.

  • The internet is hyperreality; read some Baudrillard.

  • yeah it's real.

  • "diminished capacity for abstract thinking" I will use that!

  • the internet is "real" it exists, like the chair i'm sitting on is real, however much of the content on the internet is similar to television, youtube is a great example of this

  • What is "real"^^?

  • I like your clock!

  • Also nice video description, I hadn't noticed it before.

  • The internet is like a drug, it's distorted reality. A place where your ego and inhibitions go unchecked.

  • @catbuffalo I wouldn't say it's distorted, it's more clear if anything. You get to be your true self.

But I do agree that it is a different dimension though. Eventually we will be able to upload our consciousness to it..

  • I think you're going to have to bust out more controversial topics if you're looking to get the comments and views up. I'm assuming that's what you're up to here, but the question you pose is too simplistic and obvious. You're far more intellectually sophisticated than this. But hey, I left a comment so I guess it worked. ;)

  • It's just the idea that the way we define offline friendships, etc. is different from the Internet experience. You're more vulnerable, there are more established conventions, people act different. You could use a different set of terms "offline" and "online" life.

  • I used to think that the Internet was not real.

Then I spammed some dork's comment section in a video of him reciting the Yeats poem "The second coming". I guess I was trying to intimidating him into being my friend.

Big mistake. I believe the dork called the FBI and reported me. Have you ever had some fat guy tailing you with a camera? I have.

  • Lol, of course the internet is real. I think people feel more anonymous online but that doesn't make it any less real than the identities we assume in real life. It's interesting how people approach things with either deduction or induction.

  • Hi people, i'm real people too.

  • Good question, I think people think it's not real life because you can be anonamous and then just walk away with no come back. In real life you'd get some kind of back lash, like a punch in the face.

  • Yes, I totally agree. I've gotten gfs from the internet, friends and great advice. Tis a wide-spread way of meeting more people.

  • anyway I dont care if I am wrong. It is good to be wrong apparently. Take a double dose of that herp-a-derp pills and point me in the direction of the republicans.

    Soy listo!

  • Here is what i quote about fakesagan and I quote "there is no war but the class war."

That is like going outside in lighting storm and letting the rain hit you. Sooooooooooo good.

  • Herpity doo dah derpity ay.

My OH my what a wonderful day.

  • Btw fakesagan ain't my friend. Fakey is my potential opponenet.

    Don't think so? TRY ME.

  • It's a bullshit question Fake-is-Khan.

MAYBE this medium seems unreal to you at certain points in your exsistance but trust me I understand the riots on a deep level as someone who was locked up for almost a decade.

I understand burniing shit down I understand going ape shit crazy.

  • The difference between the internet and "real life" is: on the internet even if we've only talked with someone 4 or 5 times, it's about much heavier shit than with someone in real life you've only met 4 or 5 times. Thus, after that many interactions you feel more like "friends." It's not more or less real, it's just different social dynamics than the rest of life.

  • Holy FUCKIN FakeSagan!! The philosopher returns. Welcome back my "internet friend" glad to resubscribe.-- The internet is real. But the anonymity allows people to express the world as they interpret it without fear of judgement of their peers. So to some (mostly thoes under 15 years old) the internet isn't really real but a virtual playground of sorts. until some random action they make on the internet effects their "Real" lives... they wont.

  • Of course the internet is real life. I met my girlfriend on there and my feelings are the same as I've had for any ex's I had in real life. It just takes imagination and good communication skills, which most people lack.

  • i'm a different person in the internet. it's not an alternate reality but a space for my split personality. it feels very much like another life.

  • Even when I occasionally reply to someone on /b/ I try and maintain civility while also passive aggressively pointing this fact out. It can be a struggle to keep hold of reality online, what with all the alpha-male posturing.

  • Internets real, trolls are fake. Simple, if they take it is as not real life, they are just a troll and believe everyone else is too most likely.

  • To be serious i agree with your opinion on this. Most people who think like that seem like they're oblivious to the realization that everybody they talk to over the interwebz are real people. Not some chat bot or "non player character" as refereed to in games. They think that the people they form a relationship with online aren't real. Meanwhile the other person believes it is real and is offended when they get dumped just because the other person's tired of the relationship.

  • The internet is a series of tubes. :)

  • The internet is real life. What happens on the internet gets you labeled in real life.

  • The internet is the arena for playing games. People usually don't show their real true face, people play games by inventing fake realities on internet.

  • The internet is real life if you are real (authentic) while on it. If represent yourself as someone else, then it is not "real life"

By the way, it is good to see you back again-I missed you <3

  • 'Real life' is what you return to when you're done on the internet. The 'real world' is where it's all taking place. It's just a matter of semantics.

  • The Smooth Terrorist isn't real he's just a bot.

  • In “real” life, you can see, smell, touch and hear another person. You can get mad and sock them in the nose and they feel real pain. In real life, a person cannot simply change their name and come back and talk to you unrecognized. In real life, a person cannot push one button and evaporate forever.

    The Internet is very different.

  • Maybe the internet can be thought of as a trans-temporal world within human culture; it is different in our general experience of it.

  • Fakesagan's ego finds this video easy to masturbate to

  • The question you raise is "is there a difference between an 'internet friend' and a friend one interacts with face to face?" But instead you've made a boring, research-free video about semantical bollocks. So welcome back. Business as usual.

  • @VicSidious and yet despite your complaint, you still watched it, congratulations, he still wins :P

  • @TethesisLive Can't really complain about a video I haven't watched now can I.

  • @VicSidious 'business as usual' you obviously expected the video to be sub par in your opinion, so why bother with it?

  • @TethesisLive why keep bumping his video up the YouTube listings by commenting on it?

  • @VicSidious because i like the video

  • @TethesisLive Oh really? Your video response is so disjointed that its difficult to tell. So, you seem to be telling me that because I have disagreed with fakesagan in the past, and I have found his videos of questionable value, I should therefore not watch his new videos, and have no right to voice my opinion on them because I knew I wouldn't like the video in the first place. Is that right? Well bollocks to that. I'll criticize whoever I like thanks very much Chris fucking Crocker.

  • @VicSidious Not quite what i'm saying, I just see no reason to continue watching something you dont like, if i see a video made by some random asshole, illjust avoid them in future instead of wasting my time watching more crap.

  • @TethesisLive There are millions of crappy YouTube videos which I do not watch. This particular arsehole is not "some random asshole" (I thought you were English). I have long standing grievances with this twat. So I watch his videos and voice my opinion on how each one is a pile of old bollocks. I enjoy this. Is that OK with you?

  • Is this who I think it is?

  • There are in some cases that internet is real life depending on how your real life is affected by the internet i.e. some idiots doc dropping and spreading your personal information around.

To me, the internet is just another dimension to me where you can be your alternate ego but in some cases, your real life can be affected if both worlds collide

  • @dulcebase oh, you didnt? oh ok, thats that settled then, sorry ole bean.

    PS lovin your work. ^_^

  • The internet is just as real as the tv. Govt paid propaganda everywhere, they hire people to make accts and post on politic stuff, the corporations hire people to post on their own products.. Soon with their controls and brainwashing the internet will be just as fake as tv. a dvd is a "Data" storage system too, but ive sen a ton of fake stuff on it. Most people you talk to IRL are VERY fake, so is real life real? Yes of course, but the people in it are pretty fake!

  • Internet is a tool...an extension of yourself. Internet is not a place where you put a mask and act different as you are in face to face situation.

  • @dulcebase but you shifted the category. From the physical reality of the production of and involvement in 'a show' to the narrative strands of the script of that show. the two are entirely different things when discussing whether or not the show is 'reality' in terms of the effects on those involved in the production of said show.

    so there. : P

  • @dulcebase the show is reality. it was produced in reality, it had real world consequences. the show was contrived, but it was 'reality'.

  • @dulcebase it's way different to the movies. u dont have to move house cos some nut from a cinema audience befriended you, got your docs then went postal (or erm, inset your own 'internet fuckin with real life' story here)

    ; )

  • The internet is something you do in real life....and just like video games, some people take it seriously, some use it for entertainment. Trying to generalise it is dumb

  • Is real.

  • I agree with you, and have asked people the same questions before.

  • awesome fuckin video! Fakey Fakey, Eggs N Bakey

  • If the internet isn't real, then phone calls aren't real. :p

  • Comment removed

  • This video just blew my mind. I mean this whole time I thought I was in another world doing all this typing. People talk about the internet vs real life because many of them exist in anonymity. Many including myself have user names that are not our real names. This leads to people basically assuming a different identity(not necessarily personality) online. Alternately if someone was to where a convincing disguise and act differently you would know that character but not necessarily the person.

  • It's real life, but it's anonymous, and posthumously and anonymously are the two best ways to speak the truth; so it's difference of a kind. Perhaps 'realer'

  • The internet in someways is more real than real life. People behind their computers show a very different side of themselves than they otherwise would when interacting in meatspace. Many people will act one way around family, and another way around their wild friends, different sides of the same person but they're both real.

  • Awsome to see you. Awsome video too.

  • I think people who say "the internet is not real life" may have mistaken it for an alternative.

  • I used to run the streets & made many "friends" during my teens & early 20's. In my mid 20's I started spending more time online. Since then, I've made many friends. These I consider better friends than any before them. We speak almost every day, share our lives, gifts, & have for years now. I met my fiance on the internet. We've been together for 5 years this September. Tired of traveling, I leave for Sweden one last time, to be married & live. I can't imagine my life without these people now.

  • Great video =)

  • I met my fiancee through her yt channel, then we started talking, she came out to see me and now we'll be married this fall.

  • At one time I got stuck in the mindset that the net "isn't real" but I feel different about it now

Years ago if a person slightly irritated me, I had a friend who always said "it's only internet" or "it's not real life". However when a troll started targeting him, the guy would shit bricks.

Ppl who say this think your experiences aren't fully validated all b/c it happened online. It usually means they're an ahole who deep down doesn't give a shit about you or what u may have to put up with

  • Very good video!

  • Well if we try to imagine the evolution of some kind of 'pure energy' or 'pure thought' life forms, we see it is very hard to do because, for this example the thoughts and communications of these entities have only other thoughts and communications as their consequences. Thus, we are all invincible on the internet - with the exception of banning.

I like to imagine a world where we could kill each other with a thought, undetected. Imagine how nice everyone would be.

  • I don't think they truly believe the internet is "not real". They are just misusing language.

  • Fend the Ed

  • Honest and trust-worthy is as honest and trust-worthy does....

  • Uh, how was you taught to make friends? You get a new friend you naturally see what you have in common. You don't like what the other likes or talks about? Or they u? Deleted. If you or they don't like your subjects. I don't trust anyone at first glance. Not anymore. Trust-worthy people have to earn their trust. No different than when I was a kid. :)

  • Agree ..good vid :)

  • end the fed

  • Execellent video! Totally, agree.

  • makes for good debate.

  • I enjoyed this video and reading the comments.

  • The word "friend" is in itself an abstract term that is pretty debatable. People like the anonymity of the internet and perceive it as a different entity, they think the internet is separate from real life so they use it that way. You can be anyone on the internet and it's the lack of personal proximity that feeds the illusion that it is different. The lines of reality and the internet can easily become blurred when you forget that.

  • real life is based on human interaction, online is mainly based on text, removing almost all the human element and when that is combined with anonymity it creates an unreal environment/atmosphere which allows the user to express their true thoughts and feelings without fear of consequence.

in other words if someone cant punch you in the face you'll act differently around them haha

  • Well not everyone on the internet is real, some of us are just bots ^.^

  • All the world's a stage; on YouTube that's literal.

  • Is masturbating to porn the equivalent to having sex with a porn star? No.

Im just fucking with you, I understand that the internet has actual impacts in life and effect actual people.

  • I think people believe that One don't display their real personalities on YouTube or other Internet sites. In other words, YouTube posters have 2 personalities: 1) their day-to-day personas and 2) their YouTube (or Internet personas). This is so many come to YouTube and act, such as DrinkingwithBob or communitychannel, etc. When you so many people posting stuff for shock value or entertainment purposes, it hard to scuffle through the madness.

  • (3) And in that sense, it's more like putting a mask on and acting out a character, as opposed to it being the 'real' you. That isn't to say it still isn't you, but it's like an actor in a movie at that point. They're acting out someone they're not for the sole purpose of acting, and have little correlation to they're 'actual selves'. I can pretend I'm a racist fundamentalist Christian to troll others, but that doesn't mean I'm really any of those things.

  • (2) It's like people can't comprehend that they should treat me the same as they would someone they know in person, and only because they couldn't directly be with me. But along with that, I also think that under certain circumstances, anoniminity is important as well. Sometimes people like to roleplay with others, or troll them, which is like a mock version of themselves. What would I be like if I lived in this fantasy world? How could I parody someone I hate?

  • (1) I've always thought that internet relationships were no different than 'real life' ones, although I've learned from experience few people agree with me. I probably couldn't count how many internet friendships ended for me because the person was in the 'well, it's only the internet' mindset. The same is true for all the romantic relationships I've been in or could have been in online.

  • It's more circumstantial. Sure, there is real people behind the screens, but considering you'll never meet 99.99999999999999% of them, it's hard to classify the experience as 'real'. There can, however, be real-world consequences for your actions. I remember just recently hearing about somebody from the U.K. pissing off a dude from Sweden (I think it was), just talking shit over a videogame or whatever. Well, one person ended up killing the other over this. The same can, and has, happened online

  • Online steaming videos and online videos as a whole is like having a sixth sense.

  • I think the disconnect comes from the fact that many people primarily use the Internet to take on a fictional persona or otherwise step outside their real identity. For these folks, considering the things they do in character/anonymously as "unreal" comes naturally.

I generally consider my Internet use to be just another "real" thing I do. Granted, there are often less *personal* consequences for the things said here, but the fact that others are affected isn't lost on me.

  • My take is that its probably both at the same time, hence the weirdness that ocurrs at times.

I think two guys that plays together at World of Warcraft or whatever, and has never met, still can be great internet buddies in a virtual world. You can however still say they are friends in the real world too if you insist, just because that any gaming/dating virtual world still IS in a real world with real persons. The virtual world is kind of its own atmoesphere. To me its blurry.

  • I think you know the difference to the question your asking. It seems you might be stirring the pot some & its much appreciated. It would be a nice departure to talk about this subject more. As I'm tired of hearing about genitals and religion on YT. My take on it is with the internet in so many aspects there is a need to be real but that need doesn't have to be reality and can be replaced with our imaginations is we so chose. "All have the New Flesh"-quote videodrome

  • Pretty nitpicking video. If you can't tell what people mean when they say the internet is not "real life" I'm pretty surprised. Yeah, the internet of course is a part of "real life" in the obvious sense, but so is a video game. It's programmed a certain way containing physical components etc. We don't suggest that wargames online are "real life" because it's a simulation of the real thing. Just like us talking to each other through videos are a simulation of actually talking to each other.

  • Will you ban me please, I'm compelled to watch your retarded ass.

  • The internet is real but not everything that happens on the internet or everything that is on the internet is real.

  • good stuff. thx 4 posting. (this comment is real.).

  • Great Video. Totally agree! I have been thinking a lot about this lately. I had a Host in a BlogTV show point me out in the room I'd be the type of person that would go back to my workplace with an AK47 if I got fired after discussing the Norway Killer and then laughed it off. I was like WTF? Just because your in front of a cam broadcasting to people what your saying isn't real? Say what you'd say to someone in person and all will be well on the Net.

  • I agree with your sexy ass! :3

  • The internet has a large anonymity factor, unlike "real life". When you talk to someone on the street, your eyes meet, you know exactly what they look like, you have some idea of what they're thinking based on their facial expression, etc. On the internet, you don't have to reveal your face, or your voice, if you don't want to.

  • If one wanted to do it, they could make an entirely internet persona, and some certainly do. I use it more as an extension of real life, but it IS real, I agree. After all, I met Mrs. Zaunstar on an online dating site back in 1998, even before it was fashionable. Hehheh.

  • YaY! Bugger off, Google!

    HooooaH~!

  • how is it not real? lol...this may be social interaction, but can you tell me my name? what color are my eyes? where am I from? also many, if not most people take advantage of this fact and use alternate internet personas in some form or another. hence trolls, internet warriors, internet gangstas "dat typ3 Lyk3 dis". so in a way it's not real.

  • Someone wrote in the comments that the difference between the internet and real life was that on the internet one doesn't have to wear a social mask. Presumably, this means one can be an obnoxious asshole without fear of being punched in the face. I guess this also means that the person really IS an obnoxious asshole, but pretends not to be in real life. I disagree. I bet that person's friends and family STILL think they're an obnoxious asshole.

  • There are alot of things on the internet that can affect you in the physical world, but you can create a fake personality online that is far removed from your "real life" personality. i think thats where the not real comes into play.

  • This guy takes it up the pooper.

  • Well people may not think its real because they see it as a disconnect from reality, kinda like video games. But it also makes no sense since almost all people on the internet act as they true selves online.

  • Enjoy the data mining.

  • People say/do so many things on the internet that they would never dream of saying/doing in any other context. This gives the internet a fantasy-like aura which effectively turns it into an environment where people can live out life as an exaggerated version of themselves based on their own egos. The difference between the internet and real life is that in real life, if you say something I don't like, I can beat you up! ; ).

  • The internet. Serious business since the 80's.

  • Facebook is an MMORPG damn it!

  • The internet is not IRL.

    IRL is not the internet.

  • The internet is definately real, it is just a way of communicating, like the mail or telephones, they are real. I think that too many people out there get more into internet fantasy games (WoW, Second Life, etc.) than they should.

  • I agree Fake, I get tons of PM's saying how much a certain person likes/ dislikes me. These people do not know me, my name, my beliefs, my politics but because they watched a dozen of my videos or such they have become my "friend" or "enemy". What a crazy world!

  • Who gives a fuck-what people think

  • "electronic solipsism"

    great term

  • no the internet is not the real world, its like a cartoon adaptation of reality. people become animals because they can get away with it. the internet allows the sadistic hate inside us all to flow. that way I guess the internet is more real. of course online bank accounts etc. are very real, but that has nothing to do with human thought which is really the question when asking real/not real.

  • You need a better camera

  • I think that online, is almost a different reality. People subconsciously recognize this and do treat it as it's another plane of existence. What will be interesting is if future generations that grow up with it, do the same. I remember when answering machines first came out. People did not want to talk to them and hardly anyone would leave a message. Now it's not a big deal. Culture seems to move much slower then technology these days.

  • Nice to see you back Hard Case

  • I hope that there are not people out there that can't distinguish between real life and the reality that is the internet. However I feel there are such things as an "internet friend". An acquaintance for the internet who is not a friend IRL. I know plenty of people though forums that I feel a kin ship too. However I don't know there real names. Aside from that we may talk about our lives or our perspectives on the world. Maybe friend is not the right word, but it works for me.

  • This is true, some of my most memorable friends are the ones I have only ever talked to online.

  • ok, thank you sir, you put this sentiment in such a way that escaped me

  • I always thought of it as real life. Never got why people say otherwise, I mean, what else is it? Saying it's not real is like saying one's physical mailbox isn't real.

  • In a lot of ways, the internet can be realer than "real life."

  • didn't you have a pop at coughlin for having a "online relationship" ?

  • 6:25 Yep, 'Flip Tokyo' was one. Disturbing stuff.

  • @tomtcf76

  • @tomtcf76 what do you mean?

  • @checkmclassics theres a Fakesagan video still on youtube called 'aint shit changed' and its a perfect example of what hes getting at around 6.25 regarding bullshit Youtube comments stated by people who probably took a few moments out of their own time to trade an insult about an incident that didnt really involve them. The Fliptokyo user was just one of many idiots typing away...watch the vid, its a good one.

  • When I assess my friends list on any internet site the people are separated into three categories.

    1/aquaintances 2/regular friends 3/ good friends

Now the acquaintances are people I see around every so often. The regular friends are people I see quite often yet don't know much about me in real life. The few I consider good friends I have conversed with in detail many times and given out my personal information to.

  • the difference between internet and real life? a lot of times the difference is anonymity

  • @AgentCarter I agree it all depends on how much of your self you present and reveal to the Internet.

  • People have entirely different personalities on the internet than they do in "real life" (outside the internet). When talking on the phone, it is one person to another, Almost always between people who know each other outside of cyberspace. Yes, people meet online and then decide to meet up in real life. When that happens, their relationship becomes "real". the relationship is not real until this happens because it is likely that neither person has the same personality on and off the internet.

  • I believe that people can have different aspects of their lives in all mediums: worker, client, parent, friend, Internet friend, phone friend, ect. It's not fake, but it's a different aspect of relationships. As for friends, I guess that would be a definition for each person. I have different situational "friends." It's just another category. We love to define and categorize things.

  • @amberview30 well said

  • A friend will help you move. A good friend will help you move a body.

  • Just about Iran's nuclear program... It didn't do that much of damage. The best estimates predict that it only slowed it down by ~5 months. Just for your information.

  • donate 150 dollars right fucking now or you'll watch me die.

  • @outsidemendham I might if I got to watch you die.

  • My husband and I have been married for 11 years. We met in a chat room 12 years ago, we didn't even know eachother's gender at first but we became friends, we share the same views in many topics and we enjoy our differences when they emerge.

Internet is just a way to comunicate, you comunicate with other people, comunication is real if you keep it real.

Is it easier to deceive others over internet? Sure.

But you can also be deceived face to face.

  • Yep, some people just lack the imagination and the ability of abstract thinking. Like when they can't understand the reasons for not showing one's face over the internet. Or when they think that the only reason to do so is cowardice.

  • Some of my best friends I have are over the net, so it's real... unless your into the fantasy bit and even then when someone role plays it's still a part of them going into the character they are playing as.

  • Of course the internet is real. Sure, the social rules are different, but it is still carried by a material reality in the forms of electrons. And also, the matrix, by the same reasoning, is as real as anything else.

  • You can escape reality on the internet, but it doesn’t mean that something you do here or on FB or where ever won’t effect someone irl, causing real world events to take place. Yeah people might just be friends online and not friends in person (even when they know each other personally), but that doesn’t mean that their friendship isn’t real, it’s just another form. If they are getting what they need out of that friendship bond, then who can say it isn’t real.

  • There is perhaps one way in which the internet isn't as real as real life. Lots of people think it's not real, and behave accordingly. So because they treat it like a fantasy roll playing game, it ends up looking like that in some places. Like fakesagan said, just read the herpa derp. Where else in life is the percentage of inane babble this fucking high?

  • The difference being is that I am experiencing a digital representation of a person not too different from a picture of a house is not the house itself but just a graphical representation of it.

  • EDIT: friends you can rely on and/or with which you can share personal emotions and thoughts

  • if i meet people on a forum and i know their nickname and their avatar then i'm talking to what basically is a fictional character. i don't know how they look, i don't know their name, i don't know anything about them.

calling them friends in this case, friends with which you can share personal emotions and thoughts, is unrealistic but in times of FB where people have hundrets of friends the word "friend" has lost its value.

thus for some ppl an IRL friend is not the same as an internet friend.

  • If someone treats you good and you both get along apparently going by what you talked about in the beginning and said you where maybe just loose acquaintances, why do you think either you can't have friends on the internet or what would be your qualifications to consider to have an "internet" friend? I am just curious.
