Dave is such a better guitarist than john!! how can you say other wise. Watch slane castle or anyother live footage, his tone is horrible, bum notes throughout solos, heaps of fuckups also his backing vocals are hell pitchy. One hot minute is very different to anything else RHCP ever did but it goes to alot of places john couldn't. It's also alot darker it terms of theme and sound.

awesome show.. I was 14, and on my own at this show.. lived just down the road.. Anthony hit me square in the sternum with a 2 inch thick candle right before they played Under the Bridge.. they tossed candles out to the crowd before that one if memory serves.. No, there was a list: which bands were playing, in order, each day, for both stages. That way you could plan on which stage you wanted to be at, at certain times of the day/night. This video is of the main stage (North) where Bob Dylan & Peter Gabriel closed the show after RHCP. The famous Green Day performance with the mud throwing was earlier, at the south stage...

I was about 200 feet from the stage for the entire RHCP segment. The sound SUCKED. It was so bad, you could tell that Anthony couldn't hear himself at ALL. NONE of the speaker stands were properly timed, so if you were further back in the crowd (of 400,000) you would hear successive echoes of the whole thing. This was probably the only song that they pulled off and it was all luck. It was too bad because the setup was Grade-A RHCP.

Great version!! I never did understand why the Peppers kicked David Navarro out of the band. "One Hot Minute" was a great Album: "Aeroplane" is one the greatest Peppers songs and in "Walkabout", Navarro proved he got the funk shit. I like Frusciante's guitar. It's unique, but drugs fucked him so bad, that he never was the same musician of "Blood Sugar Sex Magic".
