  • How can it be used in a natural disaster without power? the signals might go out but how will you reeieve them. Stupid.

  • Optical fiber is also very suscesible to vibrations (in contrary to copper), the signal is disrupted by vibrations, and the conductor can even crack on a strong eartquake. That is what they do not tell. It is faster, but no miracle. In a disaster it is just as good or bad as copper connection. Radio is the best in case of a natural distater.

  • LOL! Earthquake in England, that'll be the day. But so will be the day when FTTH comes. Radio shuts down when masts topple and DJs leave of attack. In a disaster, every man for themself. Don't sit on your arse on your fiber connection watching youtube videos of daylight. Get in your bunker 100ft below the surface like me.
