Dude why is your son in your videos when you ask him to demonstrate/ show us something and before you finish asking him you already there doing it for the kid. Let him do it man Geeze. Or don't use the kid in your vids.........ps no offense.
Thanks for the great review! I'm liking the Pigmy version cause it comes with the two pouches that can be used for the 32oz water bottles. Both are really great packs.
Yep. The falcon 2 can have a lot of water but that adds up to a lot of weight. I gallon = 8 ponds of weight. Here in the caribean, humid warm weather I will go with the pygmy. The climate i deal with allows me for less carry weght. But great video comparison. Thank you.
Great video. I would like to see a side by side of the Falcon II & the Condor II with both pack packed. Maybe toss in a Vulture II if you have all three. It would help us folks that have one of those packs compare size, before we make our second purchase. I am planning to buy one of the other two packs very soon. I love my Falcon II, but like to have different packs setup for different tasks.
I made an elastic "web" like the pygmy has for my Falcon II. I used a cord lock & some elastic cord. I wove it through the PAL points on the front of the pack. The elastic cord is great when you are hiking/scouting & want to remove a layer of clothing for a short time. Just strap the clothing under the elastic straps. You can even have a buddy do it for you & you don't have to take off your pack. I think they were concerned about the weight being strapped to the bottom pygmy with no comp straps.
Great video and @Marqueete048 thanks for the part I had left as a question which is the cost comparison. I like the ability to have more sections like the Falcon II to help organize and provide access to specific items faster.
Nice review... I love Maxpedition products! I have the Vulture II, the Kodiak, Fatboy, and the Sliver-II. All fine products that will last a long time.
I have the Pygmy, 1400 cu in @ $89. The Falcon II is 1520 cu in @ $137 (specs off website) and the bladder is sold separately. Neither comes with bottles, so there is a significant price difference. Nalgene bottles fit in the Pygmy....you will have to buy bottles and some way to attach them to the Falcon II or use a bladder
I personally don't like the taste from a bladder so I went with the Pygmy. I wish the Pygmy had side compression straps like you pointed out, but these zippers are massive!
I'd go with the Falcon 2. I would rather have more space and not need it than need it and not have it. That is a heck of alot of water you could bring and I like that. Anything is better than my Jansport day pack that I used threw high school and college.
Your accents are really cool! I rekon the Falcon 2 is better far more superior and versatile Backpack. Maxpedition gear is AWESOME!!!!!!!
