  • Where oh where can I buy one? Yes, I know theyre not in production.

  • when dodge will sell this sexy bust

  • What a car!

  • this is a dodge

  • Slap a hemi and we're good. :)

  • @TitanSubZero15 an electric hemi?

  • NICE!!!

  • what the fuck........ this stupid.... wheres the hemi whers the grunt from thr tail pipes and mot...... ooo wait its a fags car nvm...... thought this would have some power...

  • @1128br1128 your a dumbass electric motors have more torque than a normal gasoline engine

  • @revfan54 Thats where your wrong friend. If im a "dumbass" tell me why im ASE certified?

  • @1128br1128 case in point. BOOM!

  • thats a hell of a nice car if it comes out im takeing the buy out from chrysler and buying that car me and my wife already have dodge nitro and its paid for so i hope that car comes out

  • I can see that once EV's go mainstream, electro-heads will be the new gear-heads.

  • Chrysler can do better.

  • @mitchag191 this is pretty good they didnt mention that fact that it has more Torque than the standard Hemi.

  • Better start liking electric cars because oil will be depleted world wide in 10 years.

  • Wow... what a tool. Not to even mention how horrible this was written.. if even that... Not practical? You dont say! Hard to get into!? Wow! Is this your first time ever seeing a "sports car"? Holy hell.

  • My guess is that this will replace the Viper within the next Decade

  • fuck! cant anybody make an affordable mid engined car??? thats all i ask for in life. just one affordable mid engined car. i need a miracle

  • I wonder how much the oil company paid him to talk down this all electric car, ( it's not practical, you you can only use it for a second car because it only has a 150 mile range and slow recharge)

how many people drive 150 mils a day? I can go to work and back then change drive to the beach and back and stop do a little shopping, ect before a recharge, come on seems every electric car finds someone to cut it down before it ever gets started.

I frigin hate big oil. and the 85k price tag!

  • People simply like internal combustion engines.

this is america. where muscle cars and big engines are idolized. We've had them for years, naturally people, including myself, are going to be hesitant to change.

This has nothing to do with big oil.

Ill stick with my big v8.

Its not just my car, its my hobbie!!!

  • So, what's going to happen if the price of fueling your hobby becomes your entire paycheck or more?

Don't get me wrong. I love working on my cars as well, and I wouldn't part with any of my gas-powered cars that I've worked so much on. But, it doesn't mean I wouldn't grab an electric vehicle, or the fact that the idea of converting a gas-powered vehicle to electric-powered doesn't appeal to me.

  • @proxima777 "This" is not America, it's the internet. No need to get rid of your V8 just because electrics are here....

  • @proxima777 wtf?idiot. I'm American liberal. I own a classic car from the 60s and a hybrid Lexus.

I'm now in the mind to go for the Chevy Volt. I reallly like the Tesla coupe.

  • WTF 85k screw it im buying a R35

  • Comment removed

  • The same reason gas prices are so high.

  • i agree plus that guy looks way too big for a car like that

  • That car is cap in my eyes.I hate those all electrics. If I am going to spend over 80 grand I would by the viper from dodge.

  • And another 80 grand or more to keep the car fueled for the life of the car. Very practical.

  • Lotus is the best.

  • i love Lotus but they will sell to anyone, business is business i guess

  • this is a dodge!!!!!!!

  • lol... "THIS IS A DODGE!!!"

  • that last part was pretty dumb "this is a Dodge"

like he didn't say the brand so many times

  • No engine note, more weight, less fun. I would sooner buy an ethanol station and make my own fuel than have to use an electric sports car. I do advocate the use of electricity for commuting, but for driving enjoyment, long live internal combustion!

  • Not a good idea Crysler; spend more money on regular cars to make them more fuel friendly not a 80k super car.

  • 2:20- I see a tach that goes to ~ 9000

  • Meh,

It needs the Viper V10...... with twin turbos.

  • @scribklu Ugh... thats what the Viper is for...

  • @TomazHilton Yeah, the viper only lack mid engine handling and traction.....

  • @scribklu umm but it handles better than z06 vette? So what's the point?

  • @TomazHilton Z06 is not a mid engine car. In "hardcore" motorsports a mid-engine car is faster around a track. Formula 1,2,3, LMP1, LMP2 etc are some examples.

  • @scribklu why are you comparing prototypes to road vehicles? The only mid car I know of that races are Ferraris?? Prototypes have no choice to be mid engine cars?. infact most of the history making cars to race and win le mans were front engine! The vipers 1st race in le mans they won?

  • POS if you ask me, not dependable at all for 85,000

  • electric cars it not hard to build the electric motor only cost $300 ~~500 that you can buy at ebay

and 10 battery12v . take your motor out and put a small generator in . why $85.000 on this economic yeah right . may be in chine money no us dollar .

  • first thoughts: R8

    see the resemblance?

  • The reason why companies like dodge and tesla base their high performance cars on lotus vehicles is because they are very light and areodynamic allowing high speeds with little power

  • Doesnt get any better than Chrysler (except Jaguar). I'd prefer a gas guzzling V10 but this is cool.

  • good investment to build some $85000 toys when your company is about to collapse

  • nice car, but even before he said i immediatly thought elise from all sides.

however if the dodge eltric tenology turns out to be good then that might help their company survive. But i'm sure most of the buyer appeal will be on that it looks like a lotus and (i assume) handels like a lotus and people will go... 'nice lotus'

  • I love the sound it makes its like if you are in a toy car

  • yeah, especially if they are tall haha, did you see that guy sitting in there? NO ROOM for his legs

  • he probably has plenty of leg room.. the engine is in the back. Ive driven an exige, there is more leg room than most front engine cars... its just alot of work to get in and out of.

  • you're wrong...i think he's just way to tall for the car...if i'm correct this dude is like 6'6"

  • looks like a tesla

  • hope chrysler pulls through this, im a big mopar fan and would hate to see them go down, i really dont think that electric cars are the future, more realisticly i think biofuels and hydrogen are the future. both are easy refuel unlike the electric only engines which need like 8 hours to recharge and cover minimal distances.

  • It would be a sad day in American history if we lost Chrysler and mopar. :-(

  • Your average electric car in the late 90's (which actually existed) could get about 300 miles per charge, and charge in about 4 hours, as well as charge anywhere with an outlet.

  • I can see why you think that, but electric cars are no doubt the future. The base of energy independence is vegetarianism and alternative fuel vehicles.

Large fleets would significantly benefit from natural gas, while most drivers would benefit from electric. I'm from WA and we have one of the cheapest electric rates in the nation. I'd love to get an EV or EREV!

  • Nice sound on that beast!

Not smart to do this.. not at this time.

  • So basically it is a Tesla Roadster but a bit cheaper. Chrysler is not in the position to be making cars like this. If they feel that they must invest in EVs, do like GM and build something a bit more practical (Chevy Volt).

I don't know. I am just not convinced EVs are going to be the future. I am sure they will have a major place in the future of cars, but they won't be the only game in town. C'mon biofuels!

  • Lotus Europa+ Electric Battery = Chrysler ???

    please .....

  • pretty cool

  • that car looks really good, so why does the caliber, sebring, and avenger look so terrible?

  • It is just the body of a Lotus with a dodge grill.

  • because the design isn't from dodge. they took the lotus europa and modified it. then they nailed a dodge badge on it and sold it as their own.

  • 1:03 it looks like hes too big for the car.

  • That would drive me nuts, his knee is over the console!

  • dodge should have invested in 2 electric sedens instead of the circuit but the 200c is a good start!

  • Yeah, just what Dodge and parent company Chrysler need right now....is an 80k+ impractical two-seater electric car to pull them out of there slump... **rolls eyes in disgust**

  • hehe, I know right!!!

  • I agree!!! and those idiots wonder why they're on the verge of being bankrupt

  • Why did some people give this such a sucky rating? I thought the video was fine.

  • Video was fine, it was probably from disgruntled rejected dealers and customers that lost their local close to home dealers.

  • The poor (JapScrap drivers) don't like American Manufacturers.

  • because for what little money they have the japs give them better cars.

Japanese sell quality INexpensive cars. Honda Toyota

Europeans sell quality Expensive cars . Mercedes BMW

Americans dont sell cars. GM Chrystler :P

  • Europeans? You mean Germans? lol.

  • correction: Americans sell awesome cars. Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, Viper, Corvette, wtf does BMW, Honda, and Toyota got on tht? (im not gonna say mercedes cuz the mclarens are pretty cool.... but still.....)

  • Honda has the NSX, S2000, HSC and Toyota has the Supra, Volta, CS&S and MTRC. As for BMW theres nothing special but don't bad mouth the jap cars

  • ok i've never even heard of half of those, just the supra, but everyone knows american muscle cars....i mean who has never heard of the corvette, however the MTRC? and the CS&C? HSC? wtf is tht? stick with names, not random letters and numbers and shit... most of the cars u mentioned are ancient concepts too

  • yes, the Camaro, Mustang etc are good cars my point is that the japs make good cars too.

just look at the Skyline R35

  • good to see you know where the brands come from... haha

yes Honda or Toyota can't make American Muscle cars.
