  • I think that most of them have 350's in them, but what's the scoop on the mechanicals in these? What makes them better than a factory crown vic?

  • all my friends in my cvb chapter are white, and if they are referring to cvb as a gang its a car club with chapters, mine being the 38th. This seems a bit stereo typical. ive seen all races with interceptors so its not a black car, or a gang car this rev. is sayin and whys he scared of the police unless he was guilty of something? lol but im glad people are gettin vics more now.

  • I LOVE my Crown Vic. Its funny because every time I see an officer we wave xD

  • It hasn't got anything to do with mocking the police or being in a gang. It has to do with whether or not you like the vehicle. I own a 1998 Crown Vic and I love it because it's an awesome car. It doesn't matter what color you are or what country you come from. If you like a car then you like it, period.

  • mister preacher dood. why are you scared of the police... oh because you robb peoples money every sunday.... O_o

  • do all crown vics have those lights??? (spot lights)

  • @mazafuzle nope mine never came with one nor did it come with a cut out in the A-Piller for one. most people dont have spotlights on their vics because 1. its illegal to have it pointed outward toward ppl or have the spotlight turned on. (so the only legal way to have it is turned inward over the windshield). and 2 it sometimes creates a blind spot because when its turned inward it gets it the way. i still like the spotlights though. it gives it a more offical look to it.

  • @mazafuzle most that are in service

  • is this guy assuming that blacks only drive a crown vic to mock the police? i'd give them a little more credit than that. the crown vic is an excellent solid reliable car. if a white guy had made a claim like that, i don't think it would have gone over so well.

  • I misspoke, I was dreaming, it was a 350 in that Impala. More like 250 h.p., wishful thinking, sorry. We got it up to 115 once. It was scary.

  • 1:34 what button was he talking about?

  • @WalkingSlick overdrive button im guessing..

  • @WalkingSlick its an imaginary button he just made up to look cool in front of the camera lol

  • I know where they are going with this : High quality vehicle with a huge stockpile of parts going for very cheap; thats more than enough for me!

  • i wouldnt mind getting one too

  • I'm thinking about getting a 2006 9C1 Impala are those good cars too?

  • @mcbam989 Don't. ;) Actually, I've heard good things and bad things about them. They're a little less powerful under the hood, a bit smaller, and are FWD compared to the heavy barge the Crown Victoria is. I personally prefer the Vic because I'm 6'2", 250 lbs and like to haul my crap around. Plus, the rear wheel drive is much more exciting to drive and tends to perform better - as long as you don't need to drive it in the snow. They're hard to find because few departments use them BTW.

  • i love my 2002 crown vic p71 it handles and drives so great! ive owned many other cars but this car is my favorite. nothing like a crown vic too bad this is the last year they make them! but i think they will bring them back like they did the camaro.

  • I would drive one as a food delivery car for the spotlight, the decent fuel economy and longer range of the fuel tank...

  • I would drive one as a food delivery car for the spotlight, the decent fuel economy and longer range of the fuel tank...

  • This has to be one of the most ridiculous videos on youtube. The girl at 1:45 made no sense what-so-ever on why she has a crown vic.

And why would a preacher man be afraid of a police officer?

  • @pbartolomeo05 hahaha, I was like um ok? to that girl..

  • why only interview black people and make it like a black people's car?

ive seen asian teen, white girls drive crown vic too..

  • @cpu1917 I'm asian and i drive a crown vic.

  • @Yperanthropoidsx 'I'm asian and i drive a crown vic.'

    Into what?

  • where i live, ex-police cars are totally stripped out of their gear before being auctioned off... there would be no spotlights, etc. even the police interceptor badge on the decklid is taken off.

  • The guy at the end said it all, it helps the police out too!

  • @kaidensfire it really does, school traffic slows down.

  • Secondly, if its any consolation, Ford motor Co, Dodge, and Cheverlet have all came out with POLICE ONLY vehicles that are projected to phase out the current police vehicles in 2012, so I guess you dont have to worry anymore......

  • As an public safety worker, I have not even heard of this problem arising. Its non sense, the Ford Company made two versions of the Crown Vic. the PI and the Base. There really is no difference, except one version has a police aftermarket and the other doesnt. For the black male who was hosting this video, if the police get behind you, you should not fear or be scared unless you are doing something. In the United States, people have the right to buy any vehicle they want.

  • I'm a 52 y/o white guy, and I have CVPI 2000, with 40K on it and had 30K when I bought it. I bought it because it is a lot of car for the money, and it goes like a bat out of hell! Not for playing cop, or pimpin, or thuggin, or for 22's! ITS JUST A DAMN NICE CAR, WELL MAINTAINED. It's my way of gettin my tax dollars back! So, it's not just young blacks... We must have something in common....

  • MAN THE CROWN VIC ALSO S AND ALWAYS WILL BE A MEXICAN DRUG LORD CAR CAUSE OF THE POWER BEHIND IT AND IS GOT A LOOK THAT NO OTHER DOES AND US MEXICANS LOOK HELLA GOOD BEHIND THE WHEEL OF ONE .. AND F.Y.I ITS NOT A STEREO TYPE ITS A FACT... IN LOS ANGELES ANYWAY.. I GOT IT CAUSE ITS GOT STUPID POWER...

  • gas mileage is like 14 city, 17 highway brand new. you can buy a 70$ chip which gives you 2-3 mpg more.

  • @jaredleospirit thats not true the crown vic get 22 around town and 26 highway at least mine does.

  • Making a deal out of NOTHING.

  • Almost everybody who drives an old cop car drives it like an ass.

  • They're cheap because the car hasn't changed since 98. So you can get an old cheap 98, put new headlights on it, wax it and it looks newer. That's why poor people are in them. They're a dime a dozen.

  • @MrCivichatchback Not really, i can tell what year the vic is by the looks and sound of it.

Headlights make it look better, but not newer.

    I can tell if it's a 98-02, 03-05, or 06-11.

  • I like them because I hate the new rounded new cars. I like how there flat but still rounded, i like how they are strong, i like how roomy they look. Plus, I just like the classic sedan look. I want a red, black, white, or a tanish one.

  • I love my Crown victoria, there are so comfortable in the higwhay is like flying ,i went to orlando Fl with it Nice Ride I love it

  • The good thing about the Vic is that they are built to be tough for chases and extreme conditions.

  • mahn i put da rims on it now she ride real good "in fact low profile tires on big rims actually make the ride worse" man when you hit that pedal it, it just goes " thats because its the gas pedal and a v8, i paid less for my 88 trans am and its faster than these and handels better".

  • i love Crown Vics. but i hate the D-Bags who suped up these cars or go around trying to actually be the police and i mean be them with sirens and stupid add ons to the car that haven't come from the police auction.

  • Here in Brooklyn Crown Vics are used as marked police cars or as cabs. No one would think you were a cop driving one unmarked.

  • If you really think your fooling someone driving around in a Crown Vic police car your retarded. There's so many that have been sold to the public most people posers or d boys to be driving them. Don't get me wrong. The CV is actually a great car, but driving one after some crazy cop has ragged the living hell out of it isn't to smart.

  • @SacredSocietyAP You could have been like me and had a slicktop from a rich neighborhood that pretty much had sat in the garage the whole time ;) Most of the time, it's a treasure hunt, and you can get lucky occasionally. Most of the time, when people ask me about buying one, I tell them "expect to spend at least $7000-8000". Mostly because if you pay less, you'll end up fixing it up. But as long as the powertrain is strong and the body is in good shape, usually, you'll be OK with them.

  • @SacredSocietyAP They are built to take a beating. My P71 is a 98, Im the third owner and the State Police owned it for over 100k miles, now its at 176k with all original drivetrain and still goes like hell. Ive owned it for a year, only thing I've had to replace was the Idle Air Control valve...took $180 and 10 minutes in my driveway and shes been fine. They are UNSTOPPABLE. And I cant tell you how many times people have layed on the brakes when I pull out behind them. It trips people up.

  • lol these people wanna act like the police. what stupid people.

  • Never pull over to unmarked cop cars! Criminals could use these vehicles as a trick.

  • @weatherstorms haha are you serious??? Do you want to be arrested for attempting to evade? More and more departments are using unmarked and civilian appearance cars. Shit, some use cars with civilian plates, no visible lights, and the officers are in t-shirts. They are trying to blend in so they catch people doing stupid shit. Bottom line, blue lights means PULL OVER.

  • @MegaMrhonda uhh no only if you buy a ex state trooper car

  • Clown Victoria!

  • I picked up a 2006 at auction for $1700. Only had 83k miles, helluva deal.

  • @AvlachA damn really

  • @AvlachA What!? lucky man

  • my crown vic is the best. i have all the lights on it, antennas, cosole, and soon to be a push bar. and it has the interior lamp for the console as well.{ and no im not a poser or whacker., im actually in school to be a sheriff but currently do security and have PERMISSION to have my car done up the way it is}

  • I have a dark gray Crown Vic P71. Bought it with 94k miles for only $3900. Runs strong. In the process of setting it up for handling. (shocks, struts, bigger sway bars, etc)

  • Crown Vic, RIP. Ford killed it. Bye bye.

  • What's really fun, is sitting in a parking lot facing a street and watching everyone look at you and slow down. I wish I could buy one of these though!

  • @Photog422 yup, done it many times lol at night with parking lights on haha "what officer I just pulled over to talk on the phone....what do you mean I look like a cop???" :p

  • well at least they will be sitting in the front ,,,and not in the back behind the cage lol

  • Me personally I like the box stile LTD Crown Vic. For one they came stock with the 5.8 liter engine and the civilian LTD came stock with the 5.0 liter engines. The Police LTD Crown Vic. also didn't have a heavily restricted speed governor on them and they were extremely powerful cruisers.

  • man whats this dude worried about? acts like hes a drug mule? no reason to be scared of cops unless you got a reason. guess he does. lol even then to no reason to be scared

  • This is one more reason why racism still exists in Columbia.

  • Those are the best cars made in the world, the I saw a 2010 police crown vic, take off the other day, it was like seeing the fastest car in the world zip by at the blink of an eye, I will never try to outrun the police after seeing that.

  • @aflockofmusic2 Get a better car and most peoples driving abilities are better then the cops so no problem outrunning them.

  • @adamslurch71 There's nothing better than a ford

  • @adamslurch71 i guess you never heard, police dont chase any more they just follow you with a helicopter till you get tired

  • wow, these are some hilarious interviews!

  • Stupid worthless goddamn rims. Looks dumb as hell

  • i paid $500 for one i had at auction then sold it for 2500

  • why they don't have a front license plate?

  • @weaponexpert1 they do.... but they come off if u want

  • I'm black, I like CVPI's. I don't want them just so I can look "cool" I like them because the engine is a beast, not alot of people drive them, the engine is very reliable and easy (cheap) to fix. I'm only 15 but my first car is definitely going to be a newer Crown Vic. Mines is only going to be all black with the legal max tint on all windows. And the only thing even remotely "thuggish" about my CVPI will be the kick ass sound system and bass in the trunk. The rest will look regular.

  • LOL LOOK AT HER HAIR!!!!

  • lol it rides sooo goood since i put dem reems on der

  • Only problem with having a cop car is sometimes if people see it parked in front of your house they'll smash the windows on it and stuff like that but as far as actual car value they're excellent.

  • I recently bought a 2003 police interceptor with 88k miles. It was an unmarked unit with the spotlight and police center caps and it came with the push bar uninstalled but I may install it again. I bought the car because of the value and reliability. I'm white, former military, I keep a nice haircut, clean shaven face and I wear sunglasses all the time. People always think I'm a Law Enforcement Officer. I will become a police officer very soon though so I'll really have two police cars soon.

  • We got 5 of em Just in this household, However there much older then the body styles mentioned in this video so you would have to be just retarded to mistake them for an active duty police car. Anyhoo, doesn't matter the year from 1979-2012 The ford panther's are the best damned car you can buy.

  • This is a dumb video.

  • Mad respect for the Crown Victoria. One day imma be the first Asian driving a Crown Vic just WATCH.

  • as a white man i think they look cool as hell and they certainly scoot. and you can buy them cheap as balls. i just got a 2004 p71 from a city auction 105,000 miles for only 3100$

  • i love them car's i like the way they look and their safe their like mini Tank's going down the road

  • i like crown vics because there v8 RWD and ford they are also built like rocks

  • @Ag3nt0014 who are u talkin 2

  • would dey say this about the chevy caprice also

  • This is America. You can drive any car you desire. Ford Crown Victorias are NOT for police officers only. So please Call Ford and complain to them. Stupid civilians, come on man , what makes you , an English Nobility.

  • haha thanks man...i think i just came accross a video with some extremely undereducated and misguided ppl that just so happen to drive these vic

  • That black woman who said "It's a stereotype that mostly people who got Crown Vics like who are dudes, sell drugs" doesn't make sense

  • there is nothing wrong with someone thinking I look like a cop if they think I'm a cop then that's their problem if they are doing nothing wrong then why worry

  • LOL

  • what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who in tha hell wants to act like tha police i got a 97 vic cause their powerful cars parts are cheap and they last for what seems like forever

  • "most people who got crown vics, like who are doooooooooooodes"

  • Are you kidding me, It's cause they're Rear Wheel Drive.

  • Mines a former sheriff car....still has the gold and black paint job. i might put a push bumper and 2 spot lights on it.....i already have lights though.

  • LMAO.....Yup I Mess With People All The Time....LMAO

  • good luck when you get impersonation of a police officer.

  • This video is lame. Everyone buys them since they have been being sold from dealers and fleet networks...if people want to "look" like cops, that's their own problem.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, I'm a white guy, 28 years old and bought my civilian Crown Vic LX Sport brand new from the dealership. I bought the car not to impersonate but as my weekend cruiser. I've only had one problem from the police and was pulled over because I was driving a "suspicious" vehicle. Other than that its been one cool ass ride that will be a lifetime car for me...something to pass down one day.

  • i want one just for the spot light...haha

  • You can buy the spot light, $50 bucks...eBay.

  • better off ordering from UNITY lights where there new and will work

  • its not only african americans that buy them iam white and i have one

  • 'And then when you hit the gas, it goes extra fast"...lol

  • What's so wrong with looking like the police? I know that leaving my Vic parked up at the top of my driveway gets people to slow down (and I have a black-n-white one....)

I don't drive my Vic to go and be "thuggin"....I drive mine because it's a roomy, comfortable car with a good reputation for reliability and integrity and nice pick-up. Plus I paid $6k for one that's probably going to last me until I'm 30.

White people drive Vics too...they're good cars.

  • It will probably last you even longer! My cousin has one with well over 500,000miles on it! My 99 only has 106,000 though;)

  • lol yeap- and when some gang banger hes hi and angry at the police he will THINK he knows what house to hit! what a fool these people with vics are. paint the target on your back and enjoy the fireworks. Your a police impersonator and a shame....I love to cut people off and race pass them when they THINK they the police- they get so mad because I know they just impersonating.

  • @redoctober90 oh and a good point that everyone forgot...thse coveted "P71 interceptors " have the single "lowest insurace rates " anywere in America Period! Plus the parts are always "Dirt cheap" !!!!

  • @redoctober90 i got one, there good cars. its got over 550k miles and runs good.

  • @redoctober90 i am white and i wanna get my self a vic cus they are good cars, if your lucky you could get one with heavy duty breaks and suspenion, i also wanna be a police officer (but i wont be the type you usally meet cus i dont believe in abusing power) and i think it is a good idea to get a feel of the car before i actually become a cop and have to drive in one around town

  • @Jsouthwell2006 Whats really sad is that most police departments are replacing the CV with others like the impala and torus. By the time you are a patrol officer you wont be driving these anymore. :(

  • @7LuckyStripes yeah its a shame i know. fords gonna loose TONS of cash by replacing it

  • @redoctober90 yea man, some people say "people who drive P71's are posers" but its helping the police out becuase it makes people slow down and it could stop a crime if you roll up on one in progress. I have a 98 P71 thats ex State Police, I have antenna's and lights on it....its all legal and I too love having it in the driveway less chance of someone messing with your house if they think a cop lives there.

  • @redoctober90 Yea, its a really good car.

But some people will abuse the cop-look.

  • yep P71 are asesome!

  • crown vics are was to slow. my V6 can out run it lol

  • @jellybean19733 .ofcourse... there are probaly 4 cylinders that can outrun ur car.. its not about that with crown vics.. crown vics dont break down and they are pretty average on acceleration and speed.

  • @flyerholland the best!!!

  • @jimP71 no doubt. u cant beat the torque sound of the 4.6L plus u cant beat the oldschool looks of the p71. to bad i rareley see them in europe.. bad had the luck of driving a rental one when i was in america! drives so smooooooth!

  • @flyerholland try getting on of these cars and then dropping in the old 5.0 engine with a supercharger... now thats a fun time.
