  • once that ground cover fills in this tank is going to be ridiculous, good job!

  • Nice song

  • Hi! I am about to start a planted tank with some shrimp and what not. I was wondering how you would go about cleaning a planted aquarium? I was thinking of hairgrass and moss as carpet. Normal gravel substrate you would use a gravel vac.. so how do you get the fish poop build up out? does it settle into the soil? or does the filter get it out cause it doesnt go anywhere? thanks

  • Can you please tell me whats that foreground plant at 2:25?

  • beautiful tank!! i'm thinking of starting a planted 20 gallon tank - what should i buy besides the plants? like, what type of substrate, etc...

  • do the plants divide and multiply?

  • I did some research on pool filter sand. And found out it is safe for freshwater tropical tanks. So, I was wondering if I could put a layer of pool filter sand on the top and a layer of flourite on the bottom. Also I was just wondering how many inches of substrate should be used? Also how much inches of sand (As Top layer) is recomended by you guys?

Sorry for all those questions I'm pretty new to fish tanks

  • So cool...wish I had the time to build a tank like that

  • I like it. Wow your fish seem very hungry. Nice aquascape. Thanks for sharing.

  • Nice tank! Can you keep angelfish in a planted tank or would they eat the plants?

  • That is a freaking beast tank lol.

  • FEEDING FRENZY!!!

  • What method do you use to dissolve the co2? Is it DIY or pressurized co2?

Also, what kind of bulbs do you use? (Kelvin Rating and Brand)

    Your tanks all look amazing!

    Very inspiring :)

Oh and what are the wrinkly looking plants in the front? lol

  • @charliechoo since you have an all plant tank ....is it self containing as far as keeping it clean because of the plants?

  • can you help me? what are your specs? i have a 75 gal tank, a little more than 2 watts per gallon, co2 with inline reactor and ph controller set to around 7.1 to 7.2, bubbles going at 2 drops per sec. lights on 10 hrs a day, i'm getting algae on the glass, and hair algae growing on my plants, and the plants don't look like their growing well and slowly losing color...the substrate is eco complete, and i use liquid ferts every 4 days...what's wrong??? the tank is only 2 weeks old... thank you

  • Beautiful tank charliechoo, I was wondering if you could discuss your lighting system here. I know you mention 5x54watt t5's, but id like to see what lighting fixtures you are using to cram 5 tubes on top of the 75. I have a 75 gallon just like yours here, and Ive always struggled to get 2+watt/gallon on top of the tank, short of spending hundreds on a Coralife hood or something with metal halide lamps. Thanks, and again, gorgeous tank.

  • @krazymagic Thank sfor your kinfd comments, the lighting has been cut back to 4 x 54 wattsthey are still the same fixtures as when it was 5 x 54, which is the Sunblaster T5 HO strip lights & used to be 2 x 2 per reflector & 1 x 54 on a single reflector

  • Those fish must be the happiest fish in a tank. that tank is beautyfull!!

  • Ive got marine blue and white on my planted tank they are t5s 14000k but i keep getting algae should i change the light or more water change? (WC once week 10% filter clean once 3 month)

  • How do you keep such amazing water quality. I thought I overstocked my ten gallon, but I only have 1 silver molly, and 1 peppered cory catfish. My filter is a Penguin 100 bio wheel 10-20 gallons. I use zeolyte crystals for chemical filtration and nothing. Still cloudy, what could it be?

  • Feeding Frenzy!

This was a great moment to shoot the video. Usually you watch this video where all the fish are tame and lame. 5xstars

  • i hope thats at feeding time, cuz i dont think fish are supposed to act like that normally! =)

  • nice.. i have 20 gallon planted tank too but the water getting brownish in 5 days after i changed the water... is that normal?? Solution please..

    thx 4 ur reply..,gbu

  • Pikepik, thanks.

It`s hard for me give you a remdy without really knowing the details of your tank, on first guess it could be tannis if you have driftwood in the tank??

  • yes, i have a big driftwood for 6 months in my tank... how long the tannis will disappear?

  • was your tank ever cloudy with the flourite and for how long please comment back!!??

  • yep was cloudy for several weeks ( maybe 2 or 3), i did not wash mine, after the first 1.5 week i was thinking i did the wrong thing, now i don`t regret it.

  • you have beautiful tanks , i always thought planted tanks were better and you vid's prove that !!Thanks for sharing :D

  • Thanks for you kind comments, the tank is filtered by 2 eheims, 1x Pro2 2026 & 1x Classic 2215
