Oh my God I feel so bad for Nina Her mum better tell her what she knows otherwise when the truth comes out, and we all know it wil, Nina will be very upset that her mother knew something and didn't tell her. Also I hope Noud gets his memory back ASAP! Loved Lucas and Edwin of course and I love how supportive Nina is and how happy she is for Lucas and Edwin even though she is hurting so much right now she put it aside to share in her brother's happiness she's a good sister.
I still could take or leave Lucas. But my GOD Edwin is not only the most adorable guy I've ever seen, but there's an earnesty about him that really makes this coming out scene powerful.

I think Bianca's reaction was perfectly normal, actually. It's not as though Edwin was giving her any clues. Both of her boys have been without girlfriends for a while. Man oh man, Edwin is STILL glowing - absolutely radiating. What a transformation. Raynor Arkenbout is an amazing actor. You totally feel how in love he is, how he exults not just in finding Lucas but in finding himself. The best line was back in episode 196 when Lucas asked whether Edwin's experience of gay love with him was "better" (than heterosexuality) - and Edwin's answer was "it's not better - it's right". A powerful line. And now he is living out his conviction before our eyes.
So funny how moms always say stuff like, "you can tell me anything. Whatever it is, we'll just deal with it!" But then "I'm gay" puts a different twist on their faces, as if someone had died. (yes, I know not all moms are like this). My parents looked sucker-punched, could never have guessed what I was telling them, and went from "we'll deal with it!" to "please go away". Took a decade before they were back to being supportive parents.

It's a small thing, though, as the writers have developed the story with a fair degree of subtlety--e.g. leaving us to imagine Edwin's response at the end of part 186, something a lesser writer would have found difficult.
@affableIrregular I think of it more as Edwin making a decision and going for it. I think in his head he honestly believes he wasn't gay and therefore was operating as such. He was holding back more than just his sexual orientation. Now that he has sort of faced the music with himself it doesn't seem entirely inconsistent that he's going being so open. When he decided he wanted to be with Wiet he went full steam ahead with that, remember?
I actually like his mother's reaction. I would think that's a typical reaction for a mother who has always known her son to date women. Though we won't see the actual reaction til tomorrow. As long as Lucas and Edwin stand by each other, everything will be good.

I think Bianca's reaction was perfectly normal, actually. It's not as though Edwin was giving her any clues. Both of her boys have been without girlfriends for a while. And Edwin actually had a girlfriend up until a week ago. I think her face looked that way because of the sheer surprise of realizing that you don't know your kid as much as you think. Especially a piece of info as big and important as that. ....Or she could just be bracing herself for Anton's reaction.... *_*

Edwin is so sweet, he's holding Lucas's hand when Lucas says "I'll be thinking of you..." That is so sweet and aside from watching Aaron and Jackson from Emmerdale, I need to see something that makes me happy. And I'm happy that I've seen it with Lucas&Edwin. Thanks:)

Fav things-the new level of chemistry between Edwin & Lucas. Wow-he was RADIANT:) The look on Lucas' face when he saw it was Edwin behind him-what an angel, When Edwin told Nina about the 2 of them-and Lucas overheard it-he looked ready to pass out from JOY! The sex,y secre,t passionate kisses...How Edwin has really emerged as a man with conviction & confidence. Janine will gladly accept him for Lucas.

When in a bar someone throws peanuts in his mouth and you think "Oh, just like Edwin" and then imagine that whole Edwin/Nina scene in front of your eyes xD
When your friend cuts his hair and you realize that it's actually almost the same as Edwins new haircut :D And then you notice that he wears the same kind of clothes Edwin could wear... The only thing missing is he telling he's gay :D

Man oh man, Edwin is STILL glowing - absolutely radiating. What a transformation. Raynor Arkenbout is an amazing actor. You totally feel how in love he is, how he exults not just in finding Lucas but in finding himself. The best line was back in episode 196 when Lucas asked whether Edwin's experience of gay love with him was "better" (than heterosexuality) - and Edwin's answer was "it's not better - it's right". A powerful line. And now he is living out his conviction before our eyes.

So funny how moms always say stuff like, "you can tell me anything. Whatever it is, we'll just deal with it!" But then "I'm gay" puts a different twist on their faces, as if someone had died. (yes, I know not all moms are like this). My parents looked sucker-punched, could never have guessed what I was telling them, and went from "we'll deal with it!" to "please go away". Took a decade before they were back to being supportive parents.

@alwaysuseless Sorry, I don't buy the narrative at that point: the sudden ability to voice what he hadn't been able to say, even to someone like Lucas whose reaction he could predict, doesn't quite ring true. It's a small thing, though, as the writers have developed the story with a fair degree of subtlety--e.g. leaving us to imagine Edwin's response at the end of part 186, something a lesser writer would have found difficult.

@affableIrregular I think of it more as Edwin making a decision and going for it. I think in his head he honestly believes he wasn't gay and therefore was operating as such. He was holding back more than just his sexual orientation. Now that he has sort of faced the music with himself it doesn't seem entirely inconsistent that he's going being so open. When he decided he wanted to be with Wiet he went full steam ahead with that, remember?

@vrymascstud09 I totally agree! The bar has been raised. The typical gay SL soap- cliche's are pretty much bashed. GTST has taken a FRESH approach, & the result is incredible. It's a simple, honest story,but who amongst us is complaining?! Also I think it's totally real that Edwin has come alive & wants everyone to know about it. He's a boy in love for the 1st time,& has found himself.

I'm so glad Janine now knows the truth about Noud's accident. I just hope she will tell Nina. It will only be worse later if Nina knows BOTH her parents kept this information from her.
Noud and Wiet are still kinda sweet together. They accept each other as is. They fit. I kinda like them as a possible couple.
I love Nina but not so much with Noud.
