  • my dogs are impossible to ignore. once i was mad at my dog so i tried to ignore him. so....... he ended up humping my leg for attention! D: gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he is correct, prevents peeing on your foot when they see you and jumping all over you. they are not suffering because of this but are more likely to live a good long life with one owner.

  • My dog loves to run away luckily she comes to her name not run away even more

  • My 10 mo lab is so hyper. It's very hard to get leash on her. She avoids me and runs off when I try to reach for her.

  • fortuntly i got my dogs to be a part of my family, not to ignore the fuck out of them and want robots. i love my puppie kisses when i get home and the tail waggin and the loving look on their face. these dogs look sad and deprest and would rather have the occasional jump up with them lovin on me then a suisidal one

  • by looking at the tails of the dogs it apears that they are not very happy dogs and why the fuck does it sound like you are out side get a better camera man i think he was blowing in the mic the whole time you was recording this

  • i hate commercials

  • FUK U

  • He uses methods like Cesar Millan, you know the dog whisperer. You have to understand dogs psychologically. Like putting them in a calm, submissive state and making sure they know you are the one in charge.

  • my dog chewed up a cord and i spanked him really hard i apoligized later and he never did it again

  • @rosariofan101 i did that to my puppy too

  • So what your trying to say is that petting them gives them a sign of award that tells them that they need to repeat there actions correct? So I should just avoid them when they're doing this so that they understnad that it's ok to be excitd but no too excited I get it thank you.

  • I guess this prevents them from jumping on you, but jumping up to me feels like he's saying "hey man, where you been?" over "your here...what ever.." but I agree with this guy, to make the dogs more civilized toward others entering your home.

  • That guy is cute

  • thats true

  • Ryan is right, he understands that dogs aren't people and when we treat them like people we end up with dogs that nobody wants to be around. When he ignores them upon entering the house, he is letting them know that he expects certain things from them. He gives them a job. A dog loves routine and consistency. Anyone who wants the chaos is insecure about themselves. They need the dog to display what they think is "love". You need to think about how weird that is. Do as Ryan says. He's right.

  • @monafigtree5 I agree with you totally. Ryan makes alot of sense in all of his videos. I have a mix breed (rat terrier/minature snouser) and he's really hyper active and everytime I use this technique he calms down instantly. I have little 2 no experience with dog training (this is my 1st dog) but Ryan's lectures really help me understand my dog so that I may teach him 2 understand me when he is given a command.

  • heh heh ... oops XD

    lol

  • @MissRecess i want to have sex with u

  • i did that exact thing... by accident :P

  • Common sense tell us that too much anxiety is not good for your dog. So peeps here who don't understand the need of doing what the trainer says, try changing to cats instead.

I like your pit bulls btw. It is great to see a trainer owning two pit bulls. :)

  • His dogs are like that because he's really calm around them, and doesn't talk much to them except when he's repremanding them. They could be falsely reading the fluctations in his voice at times. They're young though, they'll get used to it.If he was hitting them and also lavishing praise on them when they were good you still might not see that he hit them...But,I don't think thats the problem here...They look bored,or just done having a romp and are cooling down(GREAT time to film a video, huh?)

  • he's displaying how your dogs should be: calm, submissive and relaxed

  • he seems to keep his dogs more as a responsibility than for the love of dogs..but he's still right

  • No,he's getting the responsibility part out of the way,so the rest of their lives they'll get all his love an nothing but praise for their good-behaviour.There WILL be accidents. But,as long as praise outweighs punishment dogs do great.Besides, everyone knows that you excersise the heck out of your dogs to sap their energy. For a few reasons tired dogs are really obedient dogs. And news-flash: Pets are the biggest responsibilities, next to children, and caring for people who can't care for themselves.

  • his dogs dont even like him lol

  • I like when my dog is jumping and when he's excited when I come home, why should I ignore him when he is so happy to see me....it is stupidity....

  • that's exactly wat i do i just ignore my dog till she is calm or i go outside with her and then i pet her

  • please people educate yourself, he is right, dogs do not think like us, they get really confused when we treat them like humans. If you love your dog, read , buy a book and learn whats your pet really needs to have a healthy life. ^_^

  • hey dont listen to this man he is stupid and he beats up his dogs because they were happy and now he is trying to tell you to do the same, he is so retarded i wish RSPCA takes him away and gives his dogs to good families... poor dogs, die in hell moron

  • His dogs are completely afraid of him!

  • my dog gets most happy when i get home as im the only person in the house who will give him a good good hug when i get home. n the same it loves my dearly than anyone.

  • I bet you that xena2345678 dogs a retarded... lol

  • Don't confuse happiness for anxiety. When dogs are so excited they are jumping and wagging their whole bodies instead of just their tails, they are not happy.

  • I always pet my dog when I come home :) I like it when she is happy :)

  • hey mister, get a hobby. Your dogs are so miserable, they r so sad, "dont pet your dog when u get home" that 's no 1 not to do. Dogs get excited when they see you come from outside, they love u, thats why they r excited, i bet when u come home, your dogs dont get excited because they dont like u

  • i think he should tell them to sit and kinda wait for a sec for them to calm down. but i dont think he should just walk in and ignore them. i do agree, however, that praising a dog like mad when they start getting excited just encourages that anxious, energetic state of mind, which is not good for human or dog.

  • i HOPE U DO NOT EVER GET PAID FOR THE STUFF U ARE PUTTINING IN VIDEOS! tHAT WOULD BE ANOTHER CRIME...

  • Just saying...your dogs really tense up and are very still when you touch them...is that normal?

  • Chances r that in ur life you have seen more unbalanced/untrained dogs than content/relaxed dogs. So the average person expects to see a jumpy/licking/barking/nibbling dog. The dogs in this video seem perfectly content. TAIL BETWEEN LEGS? Now ur really stretching it! The brown dog clearly came toward his owner for affection without the owner calling him at all. Afraid? When r u going to post a "proper" video of ur own id0069? This is a great tip that I wish all dog owners could learn! Thanks!

  • Why did the first dog have its tail between its legs while you were petting it? The second one (brown) lifted its tail and started wagging it when it was moving away from you. I don't disagree with the idea of greeting them when they are calm, but your dogs look like they are afraid of you.

  • u know.. i dam very agree with you. i too see that the body language of both the dog are scare of him. u got to watch the video when he explain about handling obsesstive dog. he tell to hold dog's head hard on the collar down right on the floor. to show the dog we're in control. but i dont find is good. dog will be train to be scare of you than to like u. right?

  • @vgb

I disagree. Anyone with children will tell you that you have to be willing to use physical control over them (no amount of verbal cajoling in the world world get my three year old child to quiet down, but as soon as I popped them one time they immediately cried, got quiet and learned to respect their father). Dogs are similar to very young children in that they do not have the cognitive ability to reason through language and so physical means are necessary.

  • Very good advice indeed

  • i dont pet dogs unless all 4 feet are firmly on the ground (unless the dog has some legs missing) as like stilwell says "while its one thing for your spaniel to jump up at you, if it does it to a child it can realy scare or even hurt him/her"

  • Thank you for the tip, nice lookin dogs too!

  • my dog is about to turn 2 in august we had him since he was 2 months is it 2 late now? he always jumps and stuff

  • its never to late to retrain new dogs, they can get used to it. You're there pack leader therefore you should set limits, they will respect you for it so yeah its not to late

  • @SameJeansOn4 are u a boy???

  • it's not too late to train your dog you kneed to have your dog wait if someones comes to the door and make him sit and also for other people it is a bad idea to let them on the furnature have any qusetions send me a message
