  • you have some great stuff here

  • I wanna see the splash that bitch makes when it hits the water

  • @Sethrod8 It doesn't hit water, It burns up in the atmosphere

  • do they know where the tank will fall? andis it possible to use it after like the booster?

  • Its a flying dildo

  • UFO 3:33

  • @chaacm what is that?

  • @chaacm

Nope, It's not an Unidentified Flying Object, it's a piece of space debris, there are so many pieces up there, it is almost impossible to miss some on your way to orbit.

  • So that's where my pen went to....

  • worlds biggest penis

  • 2:02 What´s that?????

  • On the video clearly shows the amount of space junk floating above the earth.

  • Looks like something a woman would use...lol.

  • ufo ufo ufo ,,,look two ufos

  • looks like a cigar!

  • They should add a few bucks to train these poor astronauts how to use a camera.

  • Isn’t it a petty the EXT didn’t crash on George Lucas home for those rubbish STAR WARS noooo blurays!

  • space junk :(

  • I don't want that in my backyard.

  • Is it me or is the tank gaining velocity as the video goes on?

  • @Noblyuntruthful that's just an effect of the shuttle moving away from the tank and the astronaut zooming in with the hand held camera.

  • White objects? My best guess is aluminum space junk.

  • Fidel Castro wants his cigar back.

  • The ET shows definite scorching from burn-through of the O-rings at the seam just in front of the upper SRB attachment arms. Apparently, burn-through occurs almost every flight during the last moments of SRB burn, but by then the internal pressure has dropped enough that the damage to the ET is minimal.

  • @Blackcatholman Burn thru doesnt happen any more. The scorching you see on the side of the tank is only from SRB separation. The scorching on the bottom is from engine exhaust re-circulation. The field joints on the SRB's were redesigned after Challenger and it has not been an issue since then. The idea of the redesign was to stop burn thru altogether and it did or the shuttle would not have flown after Challenger.

  • i think that out of those like 50 objects, 1/3 of those were ufo. the rest like planes or birds. but at 4:55 i think that was like a ufo mother ship. BUT THEY HIDE IT! EVERYTIME THERE WAS AN UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT, THEY MOVED THE CAMRA AWAY! LIKE THEY DONT WANT US TO SEE IT!

  • @Zeldatwili1 And they're coming for you...

...the only way to be safe is to disguise yourself as a fluff bunny by hiding under the bed for a week...

  • Well the white objects could be ice if the rocket was high enough.

  • and 2:11 two objects

  • what about 2:03 at the top of tank???

  • Comment removed

  • so. what happens with that ugly tank? Is it shot? Does it crash on the Earth?

  • @btq28 it burns down in the atmosphere

  • @btq28 the tank doesn't reach parking orbit and will fall back into the atmosphere where it will break up and land in the Indian or Pacific Oceans. The ocean the tank debris land in is determined by the launch trajectory of the orbiter.

If you want to know more, I would suggest reading the Wikipedia article. Just search Space Shuttle External Tank for more information.

  • Comment removed

  • Atlanta had a camera on the tank.. But you could not see it it fly :(

  • PLEASE REPLY!, How many minutes/seconds after ET sep does the shuttle crew record the tank fall away and from what window?

  • wow , to much white space trash in orbit !!!

  • is the tank dropping or is it in orbit indefinitely ?

  • Didn't realise how much garbage is floating about up there. Another external tank floating about like a big NASA turd in the sky.

  • Interesting video, several white objects throught the video looks like trash or space debris floating up there as the external tank is being taped.

    1:44 right side of frame,

    2:01 top center frame,

    2:10 middle of frame,

    3:34-3:36 right of tank,

    4:29 center of frame,

4:57 right of the tank something very large.

Who knows...could be stuff that came off during launch

Too bad, the video could be more stable. $2Billion in equipment sent up there. Where's the good video camera at?

  • @mattbrat08 I noticed the debris also. He probably used his personal iPhone or one of those cheapo HD cameras .

  • @mattbrat08 Maybe it was a flock of seagulls :)

  • WTF is at 5:00 ?

  • I guess that those white objects that appear are leftovers from weather balloons. (big ones, filled with helium). and because when they explode or implode at some 30.000 meters hight . they are to light to be pulled back on Earth.

    so.. Space Garbage ...

  • UFO IN 4'56"

  • what´s that white object at 2:02? like a falling feather...and that´s not a reflection on a window...and that toilette paper at 3:39? haha

  • For enhanced effect: play The Blue Danube along with this.

  • This was taken through a window, so the artifacts people are seeing (UFO's) are just reflections off the window.

  • thanks to you for answering my message. This is what I wanted to see!

  • @madude0435 dude i was joking

  • the top 2 comments is so useless.....Odd

  • is that a bird.....the black thing that crosses the left side of the screan at 1:42 ???

  • @Hed1055 debris

  • Many rare things... white things that dissapear , a big white paper (i think), and at 4:49 until the end a UFO flying at center of the screen... Muchas cosas raras, objetos blancos que desaparecen (parecen bolas de energia o algo asi), un pedazo de papel blanco enorme (es a lo q se me parecio), y al final en 4:49 en adelante algo no identificado volando en el centro de la pantalla :S

  • A tree can not say a seed is incomplete because it is not yet a tree. Roots start out meek and weak, but strengthen quickly as they muscle through thick Earth.

  • look the waves of the clouds

  • y eso donde se supone que va a caer, porque desintegrar no se desintegra.

  • @yutufyoursel

    Aqui esta un video: watch?v=sejfpoWlfz0

Se desintegra en el sur del Pacifico.

  • @Robert697 Gracias por el aporte. Muy interesante. :-)

  • montage

  • what's the white thing that passes next to the tank at 4:55 ??

  • @pamsoso Aliens obviously

  • what are those white things flying there?

  • que es eso que parese como basura . unos pequeños objetos blancos

  • the videos are so clear. its like air messes up a photo

  • @Derail07

Hahaha. But what happens if that hits a big plane such as A380 or 747?

  • @akula2shark - If what hits a plane? Ice? Dude it will melt before ever reaching that altitude

  • @Derail07

Dude?? I just joked about that tank hitting a plane!

  • @akula2shark - Hahhaaa sorry man I was trolln and forgot what i said

  • Wastes of blasted weather balloons in obrit. It is NOT UFO

  • whats the white thing that appears at 3:33? to the right of the tank?

  • @Kingandries369 some kind of space trash maybe? There are a lot of them in smaller size and a really large one at 4:56!

  • @Kingandries369 toilet paper

    hahaha xD

  • @Kingandries369 I'we always thought it looks like some sort of wire(It shows on virtually every fuel tank separation video), but some say it's ice.

  • @Kingandries369 Thats a BRA. lol

  • @Kingandries369 That was your mothers Tampon.

  • @Kingandries369 thats a parachute

  • @gaby2759 i think

  • @Kingandries369 condom or some shit

  • @Kingandries369 probably the suns reflection off the tank.

  • @Kingandries369 It's a God's semen

  • @Kingandries369 Uh, yeah, what was that??

  • we're paying hundreds of billions of dollars for the most advanced technology on earth and they hire some dude with a smudgy camera lens who has the shakes?

  • white object at min 4:57?

  • @tpopa81 ufo

  • @tpopa81 thats easy, hes using the zoom feature on his HD recording camera to film the external tank through a window, that white thing u see at 4:57 is a mark on said window.

  • @tpopa81 satellite????

  • @tpopa81 look like a militar satélite . is funny becuse before you saw this vid ,nasa clean the tape.

  • @tpopa81 probably ice deposited on the external tank's skin, once it got cold enough

  • It's amazing how vivid the image can be where there is no atmosphere in the way.

  • the earth, it was so beautiful

  • nice camera footage

  • ever heard of a tripod?? oh wait, that doesnt work in zero gravity :P

  • @bigbangAT

A gyroscope attached to the camera would have helped to stabilize it.

  • need mega batteries for that

  • in my opinions is the same object (but more close at the camera) you can see in at 4:38. and the re are a lot of shining space garbage.

  • the top comments are the same guy with multiple accounts

  • Was hoping to see it reenter the atmosphere and burn for a while.

PS There sure is alot of junk in space.

  • @VollAssiHier perhaps looks like a cow. It must be an experiment to get the best tasting beef.

  • I bet that for some strange reason it will crash in qatar or afghanistan, libia or any country like that and they will say "shit happens"

  • @Zephyroudret Racist much?

  • What happens then with the tank? Does it fall to the ground or burns off?! Any air polution?

  • like wow there some huge ice chunks

  • Wow, Even a tank of the size of a truck falling down into the atmosphere is boring, if nasa publishs it.

  • Object at 4:56 and 3:34 a parachute perhaps?

  • @VollAssiHier It's ice that forms on the tank, and the jolt of ET seperation shakes it loose and it stays in the vicinity of the shuttle as they have the same energy in the same direction because the shuttle has yet to adjust it's trajectory.

  • @MrModenait It is moving at the same speed as the shuttle when it is jettisoned.

  • @VollAssiHier no ufo!!!! is the garbage of the human and the external tank never entering in the atmosphere is another garbage more in the space floating is danger for the next mision

  • no ufo!!!! is the garbage of the human and the external tank never entering in the atmosphere is another garbage more in the space floating is danger for the next mision

  • It's a shame nobody has filmed it actually entering the atmosphere

  • @VollAssiHier I think it's ice particles floating by close to the window.

  • @VollAssiHier just water in the glass :)

  • At the end 4;56 clocked UFO

  • @hzloco575 you must have really really bad standards of evidence... right...

  • CGI.

  • Looks like a big ol' piece o' poop.

  • @VollAssiHier debris

  • @VollAssiHier a Satellite?

  • yeah there is an object fliying under the tank from minut 3:34 it changes shapes it inn't an airplane because it has not got wings ???

  • @santisimos As the tank revolves (small reaction jet causes this effect) unspent fuel is expelled from the tank. This fuel in space freezes and therefore becomes little or big chunks of ice.

  • @silvereagle2061 ok cool kind of I trying to make sence nice one thanks for your time explaining :)

  • I just got to the end of the video at 4:56 that looks more like part of the cradle where the tank is atatched to the shuttle more than ice.

  • something in the screen at 4:57 on the middle right of the screen.

  • @TheFox1968 erm hello, what about the object at 4:56 lol...

  • @Trig0r and what about object at 3:32

  • That's a big cigar!! :D

  • What is that 3:34 ¿?

  • @jmbhjsbsj good question

  • @Awehness maybe some Decepticon... :D

  • Comment removed

  • what if the tank falls on a city instead of the sea?

  • @cybertai33 NASA aren't stupid little kids like most people here on Youtube. It won't fall on a city because everything is calculated, predetermined and nothing is left to chance. It falls exactly where it should.

  • Can someone explain to me WHAT are those white objects that appear next to the external tank?

are they pieces of ice or something?

  • @dumontmc As the tank revolves (small reaction jet causes this effect) unspent fuel is expelled from the tank. This fuel in space freezes and therefore becomes little or big chunks of ice.

  • AMS IS GO!

  • What is that on the right side of the screen at 4:56 ??

an ice particle much closer then the tank maybe??

  • @LigerZer077 Its Megatron!

  • Mesmerizing! But no UFOs (this time). The anomalies caused by out-of-focus ice crystals are well known to the astronauts and mission control. As the ET falls closer to earth (and further from the Endeavour), the camera lens zooms to keep up with it, and the crystals look larger and stranger as the video progresses. See the very first episode of Monster Quest for a good explanation of this phenomenon: How objects close to the lens can be misinterpreted.

  • What is that at 4:56 comes in at the right side, right before the end, looks like a tin foil UFO

  • but seriously what the hell was that at 3:30? It looked like an giant dildo ejaculating!!

  • @KarthikSoun It's there at 2:02 too, it drifts past the ET from screen top to bottom. Much smaler at that timecode.

  • if object that appears on rt. side of tank at 4:57 is just a ice chunk or some other explainable phenom, then why does NASA always cut away from the shot when this happens? (especially in their ISS and misson feeds) i wonder why?!? HA!! Who isn't aware of their attempt to conceal the truth? If there are ice chucks that size in the atmosphere shouldn't we be studying and tracking them before launching rockets/shuttles with human occupants? Just sayin.

  • @anjiii65 If they cut away how did u see it?

  • Absolutely brilliant. What was that at 3.35? Thanks.

  • object at 3:34?? oh that just my underwear..

  • Too bad they couldn't capture it burning, oh well.

  • Awesome pictures. I'm wondering how long does it take approximately, to fully de-orbit the external tank?

  • I thought the external tank was supposed to burn up in the atmosphere. It doesn't seem to be burning.

  • @Nomoreidsleft ...........without words............. yeah, the tank will randomly catch fire from one second to another. sigh :-/

  • Object at 3:34-3:36?

  • At 4:56 what is passing the tank on the right side of the screen? Ice?

  • @trimbot6 Looks like the same object at 3:34-3:36.

  • @trimbot6 Looks like the same object at 3:34-3:36. Not sure what it is though.

  • 2:09...what is?

    passing behind the tank?

  • @CmtePiu Ice probably.

  • @mrericsully thanks...and at the 3:35 is a old remains from a ballon...right?

like a sail or a parachute....bursted ballon or something like that.... ok?

  • at the 4:57 this is a factory of ice? or another debrie from a ballon...?

    lol...

  • bye bye External Tank. Endeavor is in orbit we don't need this anymore

  • and where does this end up? just floating around the earth?

...houston that will be a 1500 dollar fine for littering

  • Amazing - NASA doing all this with a Budget of less than 1/2 of 1 % and now the Shuttle program is being cancelled - not right man !!!!!!! .

  • Did I just watch a 5 minutes video of a tank falling... without even getting bored ?

  • @enogael that just happened...

  • I think what you're looking at may be a shadow of the Endeavour. I saw it, too, and that's the only amateur thought I could come up with. Really, really something!

And who's ever seen the tank on its way back to earth? Outstanding video.

  • @VeganaExPuta No. The white thing that's falling next to the fuel tank is always there following the separation. You see that thing almost every time. And some people always ask "what is it?" and some people even say "UFO" or "orb" or "something mysterious".. I don't know it's function, but NASA probably does.: )

  • @winterstellar Ice falling away

  • @silvereagle2061 Okay. I've always thought it was some kind of wire or something. : )

  • i have never seen this before 10/10 ... and for the last time its kind of sad to think we went into space. how long will it take to go back into space 10 20 years ??? if only we had GOV people in DC that gave a dam about this we could have made a space station on the moon by now.. I just wounder if i will see a man or women on mars in my life time ..

  • I wish they could get video of the tank burning up in the atmosphere... I'm sure the tank is too far away from the shuttle when that occurs, but it would be cool to see.
