  • Agreed!

  • The crisis of global capital is so much more about the inability of the free market to meet the needs of society, we are living in the epoch of wars and revolutions because capitalism is reeling and squirming in it's "death agony". Society evolves from one socio-economic model to th next by 1 means only: Revolution, SOCIALISM IS THE NEXT STEP IN THE EVOLUTION OF HUMAN SOCIETY, THEY WON'T GIV IT UP, IT MUST B TAKEN! STALINISM WASN'T SOCIALISM, WHCH MUST B GLOBAL, STUDY TH WORLD SOCIALIST WEB SITE

  • Give the bailout money to those whose 'subprime 'debts are 'the origin of the problem' by paying off their mortgages;

    the banks get the money, get rid of their bad debts, many of the poorest families in the land get a foot-uo ,realty prices stablize , the extra disposable income of those families flows into the economy as savings or expenditures; this could be administered by teh feds; a conddition of the payments is the creditind of the same money to the above homebyers;

    COME ON GEORGE !!

  • the rich, the govt, giveth the money to the poor... great tought, but it never happend. except the poor stepped unfriendly on the uppers their toes, to speak frankly. someone has to ask, why the capitalist class as a whole dont tend philantropie. its beyond their horizon not because their stupid or not enlightened, its the way they make their money, as capitalist, in a capitalist world economy. on the wsws, there good articles from nick beams on economy questions. have a look.

  • not only every decade, now every few years, there are crashes on the financial markets. this is no cleaning of useless capital, nor forces of selfhealing. every successing crisis becames worser then the precessing. the current crisis must encourage more and more people to study history and economic, as well as their laws discovered by marx, advanced by the fourht international.

  • well spoken, well thought out

  • The political class always talk about "fiscal responsibility" and "tightening the belt" in order to justify the slashing of social welfare programs, but they don't hesitate one second in orchestrating the greatest single transfer of public wealth into the hands of the rich that America has ever seen. The ruling class demands welfare for itself and "tough love" for the people who actually need it. Such hypocrites!
