She hits the "If I'm not pure at least my jewels are" joke right on the money, something which no actual female singer (other than June Anderson and Madeline Kahn) can do.
not bad the show is funny as the piece of music, but when you heard the original aria, extra, as the high notes that the sopranos coloratura brilliance that gives everyone hope and that interpretation is not because there was no Fiat, tecnica beginner, and if men are tenors baritons can use this as falceto people, and I think it was very creative in the parts where you had to climb to the top did coloratura down, not really bad , without referring to the school classic. greetings.
I think thats the real spirit of the aria... I think female siongers who try to sing this must see this video.. me too!! :-) thanks for the uploading!!!
I agree with you cuicuimusic that this is excellent, but as for "lack" of range, most women can't sing this piece and I don't know of any drag queens (baritone at that) who can hit that D-flat Davina does here.

I´m sorry, I hadn´t realized she´s a drag. She does it very good having into a count that she has not that voice naturally.

WOW!!! I thought it was only a parody, but he sings good and act the song better than a woman (Natalie Dessay is the best).

Amen to that! Viva Dessay! This is her aria.
Although, compared to some other versions out there, this isn't that bad!

I think this is excellent when you factor in the fact that this is a guy (who is actually a bass) singing in falsetto.

It's weird but I've always thought of this aria as meant to be sung by a drag queen! Wonderful!

Excellent ! Wonderfully played on the "lack" of range. 5 stars and all.

Is it me, the dress, the crappy YouTube video quality, or is Davina 5 months pregnant?

Yes, I think that was during the time that she was carrying your baby.
Spectacular performance Ms. Pons!
