I have bought the beam expander from someone that sold his, sinds it's out of stock for so long on your website.

Now my question is... Do i really need the adapter for the spartan ? sinds i can screw the expander on it just fine without it.

Interesting, but does it really reduce divergence? After focusing, the green spot on that building 300m away looks roughly like having a 0.5 metre diameter. 0.5 vs 300m is ~ 1.6 mrad which would be adequate for a laser without any expander.

i bought a 100mw spartan about 2 weeks ago, its awesome, im really pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone!

but, it looks a little different to the ones on the site and on the videos - it have one big strip of grip instead of 2 (doesn't bother me)

but the cap just wont come off, no matter how hard i try, im thinking of geting an expander some time in the near future, but i cant get the top cap off, and i know u need to to use the expander, are they usualy that hard to get off?

Well, what I have heard, they changed the design of the spartan and made the casing slightly larger, I'm not sure.

Is it completely attached as one grip or are they just much closer than in the videos and pictures?

In theory, yes. In practice though the beam will spread out so much it is longer visible.

The beam expander reduces the spread so the beam will be visible over longer distances.

You can make an adapter so the beam expander can fit other lasers.

A beam expander on the Spartan will allow you to focus the beam which will improve the burning power.

Can' say exactly how much the improvement will be. From talking to customers, it will be a lot.

The Aurora and Viper will last for roughly half an hour at high power while the Spartan will last for an hour.

The Aurora is the best for burning.

You buy the beam expander sperately

I got a question concerning this Beam Expander.

I got a 125mW viper laser bought from your website.

Problem is when I point it on bright surfaces, I see the beam, but also some kind of "halo" around the laser-dot.

By using this expander device, can we remove/reduce it ?

No.

The halo is normal in high power lasers and the only way to reduce the glare is to reduce the power of the laser or point the laser at a non reflective surface.

The beam expander WILL greatly increase the range of your Viper 125mW

Range depends on divergence of the beam and power and is unrelated to wavelength.

an old dog has a question. since the beam has all the same wavelength (norm 532nm) If thats true why cant lasers burn from any distance if the lasers you sell really have he same wavelength i have a hulk 400mw i can pop balloons from about 5-6feet away but if its the samelength it should in theory stay the same length and pop balloons for yards away... or is the hulk made not for pro use? is it supposed to expand even at the same length? So the wavelength of mine is 532nm it should stay likethat

The beam diverges over distance and loses power irrespective of its wavelength.

The beam expander reduces the divergence giving lasers greater range.

Yes. The beam expander (BE) can be used on any laser with a beam width of 2mm or less. The tricky part is to connect the BE to your DIY laser.

We sell adapters to connect the BE to our Viper, Aurora and Spartan lasers.
