I must say, this video is definitely inspired by Leonard Bernstein's choreography in "West Side Story." In that musical / film, even though the white and latino gangs were supposed to hate each other, when they're opposite each other, one can cut the tension with a knife! And hats off to PSB to cutting to the core of the matter in this video: Mr. Redshirt, who gets homophobic fights off his suitors, ends up wallowing in beer and memories! Great vid!!!

Let me illustrate my point with a scenario from the UK. This may sound a bit weird, but it's a good example.

In the UK there's a rare and nearly extinct breed of ducks. As far as I know, there's only two males and one female. The idea was to get one of the two males to mate with the female. This never happened though, as the two ducks appeared to be homosexuals and therefor homosexuality ended their race on this planet(Not sure if it was only in that particular area).

The video is taken from 'Enter Achilles' by DV8 Physical Theatre. It's an amazing piece exploring the dark and violent side of male behaviour. I also love the PSB and think this is a clever marriage of the two. Hope this is of some help, also hope you can get a copy as I know it was

I saw a live performance a few years back and it was electrifying; afterwards we spoke to Robert Tanion (the guy in the white shirt in the video) which was an honour as he is such a talented artist. There was a great film of 'The cost of Living' televised in the UK a few years back too....I could go on and on......
