Jeeps have been built for off road use out of the box. Toyota's haven't. Now the newer jeeps such as the Liberty and Compass aren't nearly as capable, but the 80's jeeps (Wranglers, GC and Cherokees) were. I'd put a Comanche against the Toyota.
