@juke2k9 I tried to sing Secret Crowds at Karaoke. Disaster! The Gift is probably the hardest A&A song to sing, so I figure if I can nail that, I can move onto Secret Crowds with little effort.
Ah, and regarding the videos, it was totally impromptu. Rob (my coach) said, "Let's do a before video. Right now." I handed him my iPhone and the rest is.. well, YouTube history :D
Ok, you have the voice, something lacks, confidence you need to put some fucking power into this voice, also your body Poe-sure could be a big problem, you look really stiff, move your arms around a bit. I would suggest you doing a re-cover but getting your trainer to do a accoustic version of this or everything is magic. Looking forward to seeing more of you, you got talent don't waste it.
@juke2k9 Thanks! This was taken a few days ago, and it's only been my 2nd voice lesson, so I have a looong way to go.
My coach said I have the voice like you said, just I need to learn how to breathe and hit the notes with zero effort (basically I'm attempting to sing the song from my throat and chest when I should be 100% abdomen).
I'm a HUGE Tom Delonge fan, so I've probably watched everything known to man. Tom doesn't get a lot of love, but he has great range.
Everything is magic
The Adventure
Secret Crowds
The Gift
Have a look at their live AOL sessions on youtube nice and easy to get your self started, also be more serious with your videos :)
