i just beat the game last night. it was amazing. i personally think that the main story could have been a tad bit easier, but it's no big deal. i found the story to be quite good, even among other tales games. just because it's on a handheld doesn't mean that it ain't good enough to stand with the others. =)

Have you actually played the Playstation 2 ver. Japanese ToS to judge if one is better than the other? Not to mention the character backgrounds are deeper in ToS.. Also, there are no puzzles in ToI.. I've played Tales of Hearts, and it's better than Tales of Innocence, gameplay/storyline wise, but it still isn't anywhere close to ToS..

Yeah I have...I own it. I'm just so SICK of Symphonia. Yeah Hearts is better than Innocence, but Innocence is better than Tempest. Seems like with each Tales DS game they make it gets better with each release (Tempest being the absolute worst, Hearts being the best). but yeah...Sypmhonia is my least favorite Tales game. I like Legendia better than Symphonia.

lolololololol shows how much you know. Whether Symphonia came here or not wouldn't influence Innocence or Hearts release in JAPAN. Yeah, it got alot of english speaking people (including me) into the series and I enjoyed it when it came out. Would I play it now? Most likely not. Now if the fans didn't rape it then maybe just maybe I wouldn't hate it like I do.

In addition to this, I'd also like to mention that Symphonia GC didn't do so well. They ported it to the PS2 to increase sales.

Wait a second. You guys are completely wrong! Both Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Vesperia sold amazingly! But the GC and XBox360 ones were beta versions, and the PS2 and PS3 versions were complete.

We're talking about Japan. JAPAN. Besides, the PS2 version of Symphonia didn't add that much. Just another fight, a few costumes, a few moves, new unison attacks, two short anime cutscenes, and hi-ougis for all characters. It wasn't a major thing like Vesperia where it got a completely new character, made said character and another character playable, new dungeon, more bosses, more secret missions, more artes, more hi-ougis, and edited cutscenes. As far as "beta" goes, it seemed rather complete.

The GC version of Symphonia is the third best selling Tales game.

The PS2 version got less then half the amount of sales as the GC version.

If you combine remakes and ports, Symphonia is second Destiny.

This game will be coming out in Japan this Decemeber. I imagine it will only be a matter of time before it comes to the US.

Just make sure that you go all out and take down his dogs first, because they're pretty annoying but easy to kill. Also, don't be afraid of using items, items are way better than healing magic in this battle.

And you don't need to do the guild missions at all, I did just fine without them and without leveling.
