Better to say "Whatever you tell me will be kept confidential within the team that are looking after you unless I have to act to prevent you or somebody else being put at significant risk of harm".
can medical students in the US give complete confidentiality? Here in the UK you have to give give any relevant information to the rest of the medical team
She has good hyperactive reflexes. Saw two unrelated patients today with near identical presentation. However they were splitting their body in regards to their sensation. Their hemianesthesia totally disregarded any dermatome or sensory field lines. As this is an anatomic impossibility as far as our team was concerned we decided this was a functional overlay on some minor organic symptoms. Recommended that intervene for conversion and both have already regained much of the feeling and movement.
she is so good actor for left hemisphere stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage after rupture of anterior communicating artery aneurysm in a hypertensive emergency episode
@WiccanMann04 hi, im a med student too. generally, if a relatively young patient presents with stroke, you would think of causes other than atherosclerosis and hypertension such as blood dyscrasias, hypercoagulable states, arteriovenous malformation, intracranial aneurysms, arrhythmias, or cocaine use because it's potent vasospastic substance, ultimately causing ischemia of the tissues supplied by the vessels---usually coronary arteries(myocardium) and cerebral arteries (brain cells).
Has the stroge also affected the Genu of the internal capsule--Corticobulbar fibers? Whys is CN7 damaged?
So thalamo-cortical projection fibers are affected so she wasn't recving afferent sensation from right side of body. Is that the "Thalamic hand I see? I wounder if she coult touch her nose to finger with her right hand?
exaggerated deep tendon reflex as well as positive Babinski sign are both characteristic of corticospinal UMN damage thought for sure. so anterior portion of plimb affected

I'm a medical student and I was just wondering. Could the cocine cause the numbness and the paralysis or would that be a number of different things?
