Bloody Wow,wow,wow..I cannot believe i'm actually hearing this song. I have waited At least a lifetime to actually hear these guys again. Used to follow them around Toronto , seen em play at the Golden mile when it was a mall, Eglinton and Victoria park in Scarbourough . i still got their vinyl but theres a chip in it. Please post more of the Nucleus album. They still sound fabulous.
This is approximately the conversation I had with some bandmates, back at a very popular club called "The Power Plant" in St. Catharines, way back then. The band was called The Majority, we played that night and were taking a break....
Me: So, you mean Nucleus actually played here? You saw them?! What were they like?
Neil Peart (drummer), and Wayne King (bassist), more or less simultaneously: "They were great!!"
I came across this page NOT expecting to.... sooooo.... i realised HOW many might LOVE to hear the entire album... right ?So then... a few hours ago i uploaded it to the channel i just created and ONLY for the purpose of letting this YEARS ahead of their time band be heard by those who never got the chance... so there.. there it is for you who LOVED these guys as much as i did and DO .. the entire album ...( and you'll notice MUCH beter sounding due to enhancements to the original vinyl.)
Cool stuff. Nucleus self title album has been remastered on vinyl from Simply Vinyl of the UK. It is a very limited edition, so try and get it while you can on ebay.
I have searched everywhere to find this - THANK YOU! Any chance of uploading other tracks from the album? Mine isn't playable any more. Loved them then, love them now 40 years on! whatever happened to Greg Fitzpatrick?
Toronto's best Hard Rock band from the late 60s. They were so far ahead of their time as this song from their debut LP shows. They defined the Toronto Hard Rock Sound and were an inspiration to musicians such as myself. Thank you Nucleus / A Foot in Coldwater. Rick Lazaroff
