I love sparks as any other fan, but some indie bands such as Grizzly Bear or Animal Collective are very very good in my book.

Sparks has more talent in their little finger than three-fourths of the acts in the so-called "Hall of Fame". Who cares if they are not inducted, as long as they continue to make brilliant, timeless music like nobody else can. We Sparks fans all know that Sparks' legacy is a complete Hall of Fame unto themselves.

Everyone thinks they are British, even some British people. They are the archetypal US band who just cannot sell any records in their home country.

Also Franz Ferdinand have lifted huge chunks of Sparks by their own admission. They were a big influence on a lot of British New Wave and alternative acts.

@sparksfan if you knew anything about the rock hall. this band is not old enough to be inducted. not to mention they are still releasing music every year. which also makes them not able to join the rock hall. just so you know. its something like being a 30 year old band. if an original band member dies that helps them get in earlier.

so...they probably wont be in the rock hall for another 10-20 years.

@sparksfan They are not Bon Jovi or The Eagles (which Americans are more than welcome to) and that's why they are not in the Hall of Fame. Sparks were never understood in their own country, despite being one of the USA's greatest bands of all time. Europe welcomed them with open arms. Also the fact that Kate Bush, Roxy Music and Kraftwerk are not in the Hall of Fame despite being some of the most influential artists ever is a joke.
