@DamonStAmand You had better go and get some help your remarks are beyond the standards of human nature, yes this made me cry, surelly you can be better than junk like this.
@eckythimble Rofl I'm not sure if you're question is serious but I think that if you watch the video again you'll see this is pretty much out of date..=P This show was in the late -50, that kid is grown up and most of the actors are dead.
The original opening title featured a "NABISCO SHREDDED WHEAT presents" title from :01 through :08, with the announcer repeating it, then....."'THE ADVENTURES OF RIN-TIN-TIN'!". The "Nabisco Toy Round-Up Contest" was held during October and November of 1955.
Actually, the series was a Friday night staple on ABC [7:30-8pm(et)] from 1954 through '59, sponsored by Nabisco (including their "Milk-Bone" pet products). There were some Saturday morning rebroadcasts during the first season- that's how popular it was- but the series was later seen in repeats, once a week, on ABC's weekday schedule from 1959 through '61. Then, CBS scheduled repeats on Saturday mornings from 1962 through '64...THEN, it went into syndication on local stations.
@stdjohnnitro48a Saturday morning as far as I remember. I grew up with a Shepherd and Rinty was my hero. I remember "Fury" and "My Friend Flicka" as well.
I would bet money that most of the toys shown in the Nabisco contest promo were made in the USA and not stinking China! That must have been a great time to grow up.
Originally Rin-Tin-Tin was part of the early Sunday evening line-up on television. It didn't start on Saturday mornings until the Sixties in syndication. Fort Apache was the original movie set for the 1948 John Wayne film, at Corriganville Movie Ranch. The building that Rinty jumps from was the officers' quarters. Nothing is left there now except the stone foundations and perhaps some ghostly memories.
@jmen4ever SFM Media had it in syndication in the late 70s. I used to watch it in the mornings before going to my college classes. I'm surprised that CBN didn't pick it up in the 80s when they were running all those classic shows.
@azul8811 Far be it for me to start a politcal debate on a "dog video" But in regards to Quebec and the way they treated the Royals ect ect? Well lets have another referendom
Wow...Thanks so much for posting this. I actually remember this contest" name the pony "....and I did send in a name...don't remember what though. I wanted to be Rusty soooo much. You know, kind of feel that way now too and I'm 58. Ahhhhh... the good old care free days when everyone got along and no pressures. Yoooooo Rinnnnny!

@critchley3819 just ignore creeps like that and flag them for abuse.. It is vile and sick but we still have decent people left in the world.
