Could've easily come from him trapping part of Shodai Hokage inside himself. Or because he was closer blood-line wise to the Sage. Theoretically you can predict another sharingan if there were more relatives with sharingan. FE: Izanagi is the power to affect reality and mixing it with your fantasy. It is genjutsu, but more of something that actually steals the power from you eyes. It is forbidden for one purpose. You will only get two chances to use it and then you die, because your eyes suffer where each sharingan that you possess will be sacrificed, but it'll only take lenz

If you develop a strong genjutsu, you will be able to open up the Gate of Rebirth, which is the Rinnegan, where you need to train so that the presonality for each eye stays the same. It comes in different patterns due to genes and DNA. However, you can mix your genes with another person's eye through sex or transplant. But, transplant is more for the Eternal Mangekyu.

@BrooklynAlchemist You don't have to watch all the Naruto Shippuden shows!!!! It will be easier if you read th manga because it talks about the stuff more fluently. Also, I like when it sounds in Japanese cause then the voice actors are really suited for the charatcers (NOTE: the person who voice's Naruto is a female, a gutsy one).

@gipsn01 (sorry for not having respond before) well, if you do not know, the sharingan is a technique to "evolve" is separated into many other forms, for example, most common evolution is from the normal sharingan "manguekiou sharingan", etc, from the base of evolution until it stops (the "eternal sharingan") apart Nagato is from the Uchiha clan (going to appear in the manga) therefore, he got part of the evolution of the Sharingan, the eye because it had that before,

However, if you have enhanced one of your 2 senses (excluding the sense of touch, sight, and taste), you may still have a 75% of full combat power!!!! Well, to some point, but you will waste your energy for your eys if ou still force the power. Oh, and beware of using the powerful Izanagi 'cause you only have two chances and you'll die

@BrooklynAlchemist Alright, the sharingan is actually the "genie" with "wishes." It allows you to do things you won't be able to do without. FE: Izanagi is the power to affect reality and mixing it with your fantasy. It is genjutsu, but more of something that actually steals the power from you eyes. It is forbidden for one purpose. You will only get two chances to use it and then you die, because your eyes suffer where each sharingan that you possess will be sacrificed, but it'll only take lenz

@modesskiy774 You don't die, your eyes just lose their power permanently, but you can fix that by transplanting new eyes (which has the added bonus of giving you an EM if you had Mangekyou already)

@CaptainSparr0wx yeah but there is a limit to this experiment! If the eyes fail to do a jutsu and you force one that you possibly can't produce, you die permanently. Originally, a person would die if replacing both eyes at pnce because you aree pretty much removing an organ and you shut down your brain completely. because your sight is linked to the other 4 senses, removing the means removing all the senses at once. I was talking in reality not Naruto

He even stated how he took both eyes out and then the brother died! So that can only mean if you take out both at once, you lose not only sight, but you also lose an organ of your body. Removing at least one orgn and not putting a new one or not placing back the old one will automatically kill the person. It is like taking out the battery(s)!

@BrooklynAlchemist Well, you take out the eyes tha are fresh and as many as you need (if an Uchiha). If you develop a strong genjutsu, you will be able to open up the Gate of Rebirth, which is the Rinnegan, where you need to train so that the presonality for each eye stays the same. It comes in different patterns due to genes and DNA. However, you can mix your genes with another person's eye through sex or transplant. But, transplant is more for the Eternal Mangekyu.
