Roy gave up his high notes back in Conception, those were nice but no where near the range of Morby and Marco is awesome but doesn't go as high either. That's what power metal is about, 5th octave notes left and right.

Iced Earth and Communic sound more like Heavy Metal or Progressive Metal. Not the same as Power Metal. If you dont like the true Power Metal style, I can respect that. But to call it talentless or on par with "ghetto crap" is just ridiculous. And its even more pathetic to attack their Italian heritage. I think Domine is superior to the bands you listed, especially the vocals. Domine is a great power metal band so you're wasting your time here if you think you can convince us otherwise.

YOU try hitting those notes or playing those riffs, then. Although it may not be immediately obvious to outsiders, Domine are unique in the power metal scene in that they fuse fast heavy riffs with intelligent, well written lyrics (something missing from most Euro power metal) and all without the ridiculous Dragonforce guitar wanking that's become popular or without Hammerfall-eqsue girlie vocals. They are also uniquely influenced by AOR, etc. They have their own sound, they're not bandwagoners.

No, I LIKE Hammerfall, and I think Joacim Cans is cool. However, he has a very high, thin voice which is very, very common in Power Metal bands because everyone tries to imitate him, and sometimes it can sound a little bit effeminate. The singer in Domine, however, has a unique voice - he doesn't sound like anyone else.

I wouldn't call Domine unique because their singer isn't that special. There are other people who can and do sing like him but some don't have enough control over their voice, something this guy does have. Although Domine is awesome, don't misunderstand me. But they aren't that unique compared to other bands within the genre.

Which is more than what most power metal singers do actually. Course the majority of the other singers in power metal might be able to do that but just don't want to, I don't know.
