Aha I'm watching this thinking how LUCKY you are :') Valanice blew up every second when I played it, the game even glitched so after I clicked yes to continue the boogey man was stood there and ready to jump me :')
If you're running KQ7 in DOS Box, you can adjust the CPU "cycle" speed and that will take care of the firecracker issue. Usually 10,000-20,000 is ideal - that will match the speed on an old CPU. You did a great job playing through even when it was difficult! :D Love your LPs.

It stinks that they didn't make Rosella's sprite animation half as easy on the eyes as Elspeth. Or have given the 2 Daventry royal ladies a dress like that.
Actually if you play the game on a computer the same age as the game you have much better luck. The puzzle is tied to the speed of the computer. That was a very common method for timed puzzles.
If you talk to the cat first in the boogyman's home, and also to the dog until you can't anymore, you get a bit of backstory regarding the count and Malicia, wherein Etheria is mentioned to Valanice (between the two, that's how she knows to help the count and get to Etheria). They really should have turned that whole thing into one of those cutscenes so it wouldn't be so easily missed. In games where knowing the plot helps you figure out how to progress, its dumb to make it easy to miss!

Whoa-- she rode the horse side-saddle, but she totally staddled that branch like she'd known it for years.
Also, the wife was so pretty-- how was she able to kill you before when you looked at her? She had no eyes? Wat..?

Maybe she HAS known that branch for years. Oooer.
I'm supposed to believe that they died from Horror.

Yeah, that it is Just Lucky though that it let us continue rather then sending us back to the beginning of picking up the dynamite

As far as the horse's interest in the lady, they don't mention that Lady Zeppish's first name is Catherine. ;)

But he called her Elspeth!!
Didn't you hear? "My Elspeth!"
Resulka 2 years ago
It's a... pet name?
C'mon, I'm doing a Catherine the Great joke. Even if that wasn't how she died, the joke still stands! :p
Ah well.

Oh and I'm pretty sure it's Tseppish like Tsar.

Eh, my hearing isn't all that great, why I put on subtitles.

The plot and game design gets REALLY lazy towards the end of the game.
Honestly, that firecracker bug is just silly. And I honestly can't remember when Etheria was even brought up.

I would have talked more with the dog but the scene was seriously glitching I was fearing another Valanice gets stuck mid-animation freeze.

Yea!!! Pretty color in Etheria!
Btw, I wonder if Count Zeppish knows the Count of Kolyma?
