its kinda funny on mine... I got the Ultimate Sacrifice achievement without anybody ever die... I did it with morrigan, save Fereldon, nobody died, and I end up going back to the Party Camp...XD!!!

I consider that the best playthrough is the one for human noble male romancing Morrigan, there isn't any extra recruitment, no passing the blade to some lesser warden, a follow up towards witch hunt and future games, it would be your own son not someone else's son and the lesser warden can keep the throne or kill loghain and let Anora keep the throne to herself and without any corny wedding. So from start to finish is very straightforward and more enjoyable.

@lordwouter7 The last boss is only really hard if you are not prepared as was I since I went in "Guns Blazing" or rather "Spells Blazing" (=P bad pun). I did not prepare and I played on hard mode, oh how many hours I spent dieing, how joyous.

Those are the alternatives you have to kill the archdemon. (I don't know if there are different ones, I only know these 3)

Kratos didn't died in GoW because there the final sequel to be released, we don't know what is going to happen in GoW 3..

Ah damn, I boinked Morrigan, slain the dragon and survived because of it, and didn't see half this stuff.

But I'm trying all the other characters, so I'll die on one of them, to see my funeral :D

The ending is sort of a f*ck you moment, because they disable all areas after you win, and I still had side-missions, and I had no specializations yet :S

he is wearing the warden commander armor which u can get through the DLC wardens keep.

warning however wardens keep can be completed in less then an hour lol.....)= but the items and the bottomless partychest is worth it u also get 2 of six new skills and a new two handed or one handed sword i think its the best in game.

dragon age kinda sucks when it ends.... its not like fallout 3 when you finished the project purify i think thats the last quest.... in dragon age you need the expansion to make the game extend ingame and when it end its just that.... its not like fallout 3 when you end the game it say 2 weeks later kinda like a next story after the game the expansion in DA does not it just ends just like that...

It is all about the side quests, and getting the alternate endings. after my second playthrough as a dalish instead of a human, it said i had over 40% complete.

Getting friendly with Morrigan till she speaks of her mother's grimoire (And with the black grimoire gift).

You can access to kill her (Flemeth) or just let her go and take what you went for.

There is a grimoire within the Circle tower. Make sure that you're going to each and every room and checking everything for the book. If you have a PC, you should be holding down Tab as you go around so the things you can pick up are highlighted.

the tome is somewhere in the mage tower when you're fighting abominations i believe it's in irving's room then you give that tome to morrigan and after that she'll tell you to kill flemeth

First, you need to butter her up to where she likes you, then if you start visiting the camp some time AFTER you save the Circle of Magi, she should tell you that now with the circle in such a damaged state, there is a book she wants to try retrieving from there. It tells how Flemeth keeps her life sustained (stealing the bodies of her own daughters) and then she asks you to go kill Flemeth.

Another way to butter her up pretty well is by giving her the golden mirror you find in the Deep Roads, the one that reminds her of the one Flemeth had crushed.

From what I can tell, its not the explosion that kills you. When a Grey Warden kills the archdemon, its spirit (or "essence", as they call it) goes into the Grey Warden, thinking its a darkspawn because of the taint within them. The essence isn't able to last in a thinking, living, being, and is destroyed, at the cost of the Warden's life.

Basically, what Morrigan did, if you chose that option, is have that essence go to the baby instead of the Warden, since it still has the taint passed down.

If he loves you he will always kill himself for you. to make it so you die, you have to leave him at the gates. however, for most people this sucks as you spend all your time turning him into a really powerful tank only to not use him in the final battle! sigh, only had me and wynne out of my solid party left to kill that thing.

well you sleep with morrigan, and after the celebration+ ending text with what happend for everyone it ends that some people spotted some " darke mage, much like moorrigan with a child but that story is to be told in another tale... it says.

so probably in expansion/sequel... the thing is that child if it posses the archdemon can summon a new blight...

As I understand it, the archdemons are just the gods, or maybe just really powerful dragons, that have been corrupted by the darkspawn.

Morrigan's child would be have the soul of the god but without the darkspawn corruption. The only problem with that outcome I can see is that Morrigan is hardly the sort of person you want to have teaching something that powerful about morality.

@fossdog True but she does become a lot softer and less evil/cynical about the word if she falls for you. She developed the feelings of love for the first time ever and I think that could go a long way in changing her outlook on life, especially as she regrets leaving if you romanced her. I would assume this would be the canon ending and sets up a sequel perfectly.

She does have a good side. If you were intimate with her, it changes her preferences rather very noticeably, still has the attitude, but you know she cares :P

Even Wynne changes her negatives opinions about her and you, to even respecting it and Morrigan herself.

@kubek *spoiler* If Morrigan loved you, it'll say you can feel sorrow and regret for her leaving you through the ring she gives you. If not, it just says was seen with child. There's no official what happened to her as it's a mystery but it seems to be the 'cannon' ending and would set up a sequel perfectly as either the hero seeking her out or as the child.

I commend the player for having the guts to go out like a hero, instead of agreeing to Morrigan's ritual. I really don't like her.

@zoushaomenohu If you play a little darker or even just like bad girls, she's the one for you. That and if you romance her all the way, she does little sweet things for you even though she'll deny it's for anything other than practical reasons.

I don't deny that she's probably viable, but I try to play my characters as Lawful Good types, usually trying to stick to the paladin archetype as much as possible. As such, Leliana seems like the better choice to me.

I might consider romancing Morrigan with a more morally flexible kind of character, but that'll have to be in a future playthrough.
