@TH89 I think you will find that many artists do. When did Mos collab with Busta? Quite a while ago (b4 Busta went mainstream). Busta is the double time mainstream, sing-songy chorus champion now, Lil Wayne is his peer. In the 'Rap' genre, that makes sense, but you don't hear the beats/rhyming conventions/production of more traditional Hip Hop do you? He sold out flipmode cuz he wants to make money/fame. Same goes for Nas. It's possible for artists to make music in more than one genre.

@TH89 Artists are people, & some will have more of a desire for commercial appeal than others will, then there are Label obligations to consider (please take note what I said earlier about the 'Big 6' - as they are the ones that have dictated what is released since 2000 when EVERY independent & otherwise record label was bought up by these guys) then there is an artists personal interests. By your logic, Ice Cube did a track with Das EFX, therefore Das EFX must be Gangsta rappers. They aren't.
