@dogzbody64 Oh I know, its dreadful isnt it! Was only done on my mobile phone though, one of the very earliest camera phones (A now obsolete phone, sagem my7 I think.) Actaully, for such an old brick of a phone, it didnt do too bad a job, all things considered ;o)
cute budgie i couldnt quite make out the words he was saying but i could definately hear some english there! whilst i was watching this my budgie Stevie has started dancing hahaha xxx plz give me some tips on how to teach him to speak and be finger tame plz and i love ur budgie she is adorable xx
@josie670 you need talk at least 1 hour per day with the budgie female budgies are not great talkers males are the best just use biscuits has a treat when he has been good try get him on your hand and feed him a biscuit and he will learn
will they really learn for real i been hearing that form lots of people but i try talking to them for that much and they just fly away from me if you could please if is not a bum for you to give me a tip, i have 2 males and i really want them to talk if you could please give me a tip i will really thank you.
Haha, it is a bit isnt it, lmao! Still, to me its the tops cos it was my little featherred fella. Ahh well, at least he's well known, google Teapot budgie, he really was a loved little guy, despite this 'lame' vid, heheh! Happy new year to ya anyway, I think you are my first comment of 2010!
sorry annie i didnt mean to same lame thats to harsh, i just couldnt hear him as well but all in all he is sooo cute lol and happy new year to you too
Well take a look at my many, many rescue videos Boodbone the Judgemental, and you will see that i am far from disgusting. However you are entitled to your oppinion, thats why I always allow comments. Also, a pink cere does NOT necessarilly mean a budgie is a hen. In recessive pieds for instance, the male bird often has a pink-purply cere. The general rule regarding hen budgies is as it matures, the cere will ether be white or brown. Pinkish/purplish or blue is usually indicitive of a male.
pleze go on my chanel and you see my picture thats a picture of my new budgies and leve a coment and think of a name for my budgies pleezzeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
Hi Budgie8990. unfortunately I wasnt able to open the picture of your budgies, but here are a few names for you to think about. (I prefer slightly unusual names, lol) You could use Teapot, like my budgie here was called, Kettle, Toaster, Toasty, Pickles, Toggle, Bambam, Bongo, Tonka, Iggy, Beefur (as in B for Bird!) Are any of those appealing?? Good luck and joy with your budgies, and always give them the greatest care! Best wishes Annie
Hi, look at your budgies cere's. Thats the bit of coloured skin at the top of their beak. if its blue, or purly coloured, that budgie is a male. If its white or off white or brown, then that budgie is a female. Hope this helps!
Thanks very much! That means I have two male budgies and one female! This just begs the question now as to why the two boys have never given her one! I'd have expected little baby budgies by now! Hope they're not queer! :-/
Ohh dont worry about that, lol! When I had my aviary full of rescued abused budgies, I regularly saw my girly budgies humping each other, the boys humping each other, and now and again they got it 'right' lol! Thankfully they never produced eggs which I was so glad about. When you have an aviary FULL of unwanted, abused, neglected budgies, you just do not want to add to the problem of overflow. Dont worry about your babies, they will be fine, gay, straight, or bi! All is well in budgie world !
you should buy a quaker i bought a 2 weeks old parakeet and cnow it says give kiss baby hi no ok and she does a trick i thought her and quakers are not hard to train or tame they are really nice did i mention my quaker (whos name is baby) kisses me and shes about 2 and a half weeks old she learned it fast
parrots are not easy to train. I have a 5 month old Quaker, Sure, she learned to talk and kiss before she was 2 months old. But she is still getting used to no biting people.
this is scary if u read this this far u will die in 10 days if u dont send to any 15 videos in 2 hours good luck hope u dont die !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL! This bird is so cute and I know it takes alot of time and patience to train a little bird like a parakeet to talk and I like the pattern he has it's so cute. :)
will check your bird with pleasure, I will enjoy it im sure! But its all relative, no ones pet can possibly be better than our own! Am looking forward to hearing your little bird tho!
Parakeets are a vast majority of species. Budgies, cockatiels, Bourkes, ringnecks, plum heads, scarlet chested..the list goes on. They are all parakeets. Parakeet is just the typicl name you hear a budgie called.
Parakeets are wonderful. I still miss my Snowcloud after over thirty years.
Never could get her to talk, but she played "beaksketball" with my rings & tiny objects. I'd hold out my cupped hands as a "basket", and she'd pick up something in her beak, swing her head and let the object fly right into my hands. She loved that game. She also walked more than she flew. I'd tell visitors, "Watch out, don't step on the bird". The look on their faces was classic.
my baby budgie has the same patterns on its head. it sings maybe like one word that we still cant make out... -_- never the less still a cute lil fluff ball!
This vid is just a brief look at my budgie talking, so Im not sure what qualifies you to compare him to anything. It only shows a tiny part of his vocabulary. Or are you saying he is crap because he dosent swear enough? Being that I rarely swear, he isnt likely to do it himself. Apart from swearing, his vocabulary was extensive.
Hi Pengy, if you look at the clip, Ive written in text what he is saying just before he actually speaks. Its not the clearest of recordings I admit, and budgies do have rather small, tinny little voices!
Hi Someone910! The main thing is at first, keep it simple. I started off by teaching mine ''Hello Teapot''. I would hold him on my finger and repeat it a few times, then pause, then repeat it again a few times. Even in his cage, I would sit by it repeating the same two words. It takes time at first, but once they have grasped those first couple of words, its seems to become easier for them. Patience and repition is the main thing, and NEVER get cross. Good luck!
Hi Annie, thanks for your reply. I have a few more questions though. For how long would I repeat ( Ex: Hello Fez )
To him. And would it work if I put him outside of his cage? He has this bird thingy... Stick, that he sits on he'd sit there for like 3 hours a day without flying away he loves it. And I don't get cross with my budgie, he's too cute :D. Once he learns to talk i'll put it up here as a video responce. Thanks.
Hi again! Good point about the cere, however in recessive pied males, the cere can often be a pinky-purply colour. Usually, a hen budgies cere is off-white or a tan/light brownish colour. If you do a google search on budgie mutations and cere colours, it will help you a lot. There are now so many mutations of the common budgie that it can get quite baffling!
Thankyou HBK! Years ago I would never have believed a budgie could talk, until I took my first budgie (Teapot) to the vet for a well-bird check up, and the vet asked if I had started teaching him to talk. I was very surprised, and started to work on it right away. Budgies are great little talkers! And thankyou for subscribing!
I would be offended at that pathetic remark if I wasnt laughing so hard at your spelling! There is nothing fake about it, but if it boosts your ego to make such a silly staement, then you enjoy yourself!
Aww that is truly wonderful that you were able to catch him speaking and share it with others, I think it is sooooooo funny to hear a bird saying "Bugger" which is something we aussies say so much. Our swearing starling says something similiar.
Thanks Susan! Isnt it hard catching them talking on camera, the little monkeys always seal their beaks shut when you try and record them, lol! Teapots favourite greeting to anybody who walked into the house was to fly onto their shoulder, and yell ''kiss me bumbum'' into their ear! He never ceased to make me laugh! I love to hear your starling if he will be kind enough to speak whilst being filmed, lol!
Hi henry, thankyou for commenting, but Ive just looked at where youare from on your profile, and it must have been another naughty mouthed budgie that your mum spoke of :-). Another of Teapots favouriye sayings tho was to tell people to ''kiss me bumbum''!
Thankyou for your lovely comments. Teapot is now totally free, and although he is greatly missed, there are no cage bars where he is now, he is free. RIP little pal, we will meet again when the time is right
