It may be worth explaining that there is a possibility of only one card remaining in your hand with an odd number of piles, the spare should be placed on a card that, with the card in hand, totals ten, and is therefore removed, leaving an even number of piles to be added to one another etc. etc.

You are good with cards. I would just like to say that you can actually do this trick with as many cards as you want, and the person you trick can also have as many cards as you want. The tricks also works by pretending K+Q+J=10, so you can have the person you trick get those. But if you let them have any card they want, make them have only two and count the 10 as they pass. Or you can use loads of cards and give them the total of their hands, but remove the faces in that case.

cool trick

the trick is simple... each card has a corresponding partner that will make it add up to 10... remove all cards that add up to 10, then ur left with the two cards that is the partner of the two cards that is chosen.... a deck has number 1 -10, 1 will partner 9, 2 and 8, 3 and 7 and so on... it will always add up to 10...
